Two Forbidden Sides (Sophitz)

4 months later

Fitz and I left the infirmary 3 months ago, and ever since then we've been on a few dates, and everything seemed back to normal.

Our parents were still discussing the situationship between Everglen and Havenfield, so they've been extremely busy.

I was now getting ready for my date with Fitz, with of course the help of Linh. He said it would be a somewhat casual date, but Linh still forced me to wear a skirt.

"And... done." She said, and on cue I heard Fitz knock on the door. "Right on time." She said, before going to open the door while I wore my flats.

As I appeared in his sight he smiled, and grabbed my hand.

"You look amazing princess," he whispered, snaking an arm around my waist, which caused me to blush.

"You guys are too sappy for me. Have fun!" Linh said, shooing us out of the room, closing the door behind her.

"So where are we going?" I ask him.

"It's a surprise," he said as we walked in the palace. I hated surprises, but I loved his. We walked passed the gardens outside, and we finally made it to a pretty private place, where I found a small picnic set up.

"This is so sweet, thank you." I never knew the place existed, but it was very pretty. There were many trees surrounding it, and small birds and butterflies in the air, while the grass was as green as ever and littered with beautiful flowers.

"It's nothing, but I do have a surprise for you." He said, grabbing both my hands.

"What is it?" I ask him. He reached for something in his pocket, and I heard the sound of paper wrinkling as he pulled it out. I furrowed my brow in confusion as he handed it to me.

I unfolded it, finding four signatures on the bottom, and a stamp at the top.

"What is this?" I ask.

"This is the official paper stating that Havenfield and Everglen are allies. So for us, it means we can finally legally date and marry."

"Really? I thought the whole process took years." He nodded his head.

"It typically does, but because both parties were in agreement, the process was easier. So this means, this is our first legal date together." I smile softly at him.

"That's so sweet of you. And now I can finally see Everglen." He nodded his head, taking the paper from me and putting it back in his pocket. I wrapped my arms around his waist, and he returned it. "I love you."

"I love you too sweetheart." I raised my head, and went on my tiptoes to close the gap between us. He placed his hands on my cheeks, and we finally broke apart. He grabbed my hands, and led me over to the picnic blanket and started to converse and eat.

Once it was sunset we packed everything up, but apparently he had one other thing that he wanted to do. Once we returned the basket to the kitchens, we headed over to the stables where we were going to go horseback riding.

We got Silveny saddled and ready, and Fitz helped me onto her back before he sat behind me. He took the reins and made our way out of the stables, and into the woods.

"How did you know about our parents finalizing everything?" I asked.

"My parents told me, and they were originally going to tell you, but I wanted to tell you, so I asked them not to." I smiled, resting my head against his chest.

"Our relationship has come a long way," I say, placing my hand on his. "I'm so lucky to have you, and I'm so glad we can finally be together with absolutely no worries."

"I'm even luckier, my love. And I am too. We can happily live the life that we dreamed of together, and I wouldn't have it any other way," he said, placing a kiss on the top of my head.

"Me neither darling."

We continued to talk and walk around, and we didn't even notice when it started to become darker. We stopped in some place in the woods with a clear view of the sky, and laid against Silvent, cuddling as we viewed the dark sky.

"I love you."

"I love you too." And we could finally be together, and it didn't matter who would know it. No more secrets and no more hiding, and I truly would never have it any other way because I was always with him. The love of my life.

And that's the last official chapter!! Ahhh! We're litterally so close to the end it's so crazy! I know this was a short chapter, but I truly didn't know what to do and I already told you guys that I'll upload one last chapter before the epilogue and I didn't want to back down from it.
