(A couple days later)

Linh entered my room with a smile on her face.

"I have brought you your letter from your boyfriend," I smile, taking it from her. "And Dex is coming today. Your parents thought it would be a good idea for him to come and give you company."

"That's exciting. I'm not sure if he knows everything about the selection, but we can't tell him anyways."

"I want to get you ready. Let me do your hair."

"Is that really necessary?" Linh nodded her head. "I have to write my letter to Fitz."

"I'll do it while you write, take a seat." I sighed, taking it, and she pulled out all of my hair products. I opened the envelope and took the paper out.

Dear princess,

I would definitely prefer to hear and see you too my love. And I suppose you're right, maybe I do have a poetic side. I swear you know me better than I know myself. I miss you so much, and the urge to want to leave the palace and see you is becoming stronger each day.

Nothing much happens here, and it's pretty boring. My sister, Biana, always tries to cheer me up everyday, but it never actually works. Either way I've grounded myself in my room, and never leave it.

My mom told me about getting a bodyguard for me, but they're still discussing it. But I know they'll get me one soon.

I hope you guys made progress on trying to find out who sent your parents the recording.

I smiled at the last part, and set the paper down.

"He's a bit overprotective huh?" Linh said putting half of my hair in a ponytail and placing a lot of Bobby pins in it.

"Yeah, but I like it. I also should've mentioned that Brandon is in his early 30's." Linh smiled. I heard a small knock on the door.

"Come in," I say."

"I wanted to let you know that I'll be leaving my station to use the restroom." I heard Brandon say from outside.

"That's fine." I say, and I heard the door close once more. Linh started to brush my hair, and then stopped.

"I need hairspray, I'll be right back." I grabbed a piece of paper and started to write. As I wrote, I heard someone from behind me whisper something like "I'm sorry."

Before I could turn around and look, someone placed a cloth over my mouth and nose, and everything turned black.

(A few hours later)

I woke up with a pounding headache, and everything was dark. I didn't know where I was, but this was definitely not my room. I grabbed onto the wall for support, and stood up. I walked around, and I wrapped my hands around two cool metal bars.

I was in a cell.

Linh's POV

I found Brandon back at his station and entered the room, finding no one there. I saw her closet door open, and the balcony as well. I ran over to it, finding only a few birds flying above.
