Sophie's POV

As Grady said that, a smile came to my face.

"And you two are really ready for marriage?" Della asked.

"Yeah. We are. There's no other I'd rather spend the rest of my life with than Fitz," I say. Edaline gave me a sappy smile.

"Me too."

Time Skip

It was weird to see Grady and Edaline being civil with Fitz's parents. But I wasn't complaining. After a few hours of talking with them, they finally left so that we could rest, and finally eat.

Elwin placed a plate of salads in front of us, and my smile faded.

"Salad?" Elwin nodded his head.

"Yup. After fasting for the past four days or so, you guys need to get back into nutritional meals. So for the next week or so, you'll only be eating healthy meals," he said, placing a cup of water on the tray. I eagerly took it, and drank from it, stopping a few times.

Water has never tasted so good.

I poked at the salad with my fork, sighing before I took half a fork full. Not going to lie, I could really go for a burger right now.

"I'm expecting you both to finish over half of it. Enjoy." He said, heading back into his office.

"This is the greenest thing I've seen in the past month," I say, and Fitz chuckled, taking a sip of his water.

"It won't be that bad. And I'm sure we won't be eating salad every day, we're not rabbits." I smiled softly, and I took another forkful. I mean it wasn't bad. Just not what I would prefer.

"I can't believe they're actually continuing to let us date." Fitz nodded his head, taking a bit out of his own food.

"Me too. I was kind of expecting it from my mom, but I was even more surprised when your dad agreed." I nodded my head.

"Me too. He was the one who separated us in the first place, so hearing him agree to letting us date was definitely surprising. I thought he hated you."

"Thanks sweetheart," he responded sarcastically, and I giggled. "Do you still have your ring?" He asked out of the blue. I totally forgot I had it on, but it was a surprise when I found it.

"Yeah, I do." I say.

"That's good." We fell in silence before he broke it. "I already want to get out of here. I just want to spend time with you, take you out on dates, and do everything that we did before we got separated." I smiled.

"Me too sweetheart. It was wonderful when I saw you, it's just the place wasn't the best. But now we're out of there, and we can do whatever we'd like, after we heal of course." I say.

"Yeah. I can't wait for that. It'll be a long three weeks. At least you get to leave earlier than me."

"I'll visit everyday love don't worry." He chuckled, taking another sip of water.

"I sure hope so. I'm going to be really bored if you don't." I smile softly.

"You know sweetheart, it's almost someone's birthday." He looked confused.

"Who's?" I roll my eyes playfully.

"Yours silly." I answered.

"Wait really? What's the date?"

"It's the 23rd. You have less than two weeks until you're 20." He sighed, playing with his food. "What's wrong?"

"It's just weird. I'm not going to be a teenager anymore. And I'll become King and have a bunch of responsibilities, and my life will be chaotic and hectic." He answered.
