Two Forbidden Sides (Sophitz)

I woke up in Fitz's bed, with him still sleeping next to me. It was almost 6:15, and I wasn't sure why I woke up this early.

I turned around to face him and he stirred when I did.

"I have to go." He groaned.

"Why?"

"Because I have to sneak out to my bedroom, I don't want to get caught."

"Are you sure?" He said again.

"Yes I'm sure, I'll see you after breakfast." I kiss his cheek before I felt his grip around my waist loosen so I could get out of bed and sneak back into my room.

Thankfully there was no one roaming around in the halls, so as quiet as possible, I entered my room again, immediately grabbing my towel and heading inside the shower.

After a nice warm shower, I decided to keep it casual by only wearing pants and a shirt. I brushed and dried my hair, tying it in a ponytail afterwards.

I had only a couple minutes before breakfast, I hadn't even realized how much time it had taken up, and made my way to the dining room.

I took a seat in my usual chair and soon the selected started to slither inside, taking seats of their own. Grady gave a small speech and then the food started to enter the room. We were served first and then selected.

"So sweetheart, it's been almost a week since the beginning of the selection. How are you enjoying it?" Grady asked.

"It's going great, I've enjoyed all the dates I've been on."

"I hope you're remembering to keep 3 feet away from them?" He asked again, taking a bite of his eggs.

"Oh Grady please, she's a grown adult not a child. She can be as close or as far as she wants to be."

"I disagree dear. No kissing before marriage. Or touching either. Or eye contact. She can be single for the rest of her life." Edaline shook her head in response, eating her own breakfast.

"You have to realize that she's growing up. Of course she's going to want to do special things with men." Grady and I both grimaced.

"Please sweetheart we're eating." She laughed in response.

"I know, a discussion for a later time. Your father needs to stop being so overprotective."

"I just want the best for my little girl."

"Father, I'm not little anymore, I'm ready to take over the kingdom." He sighed, a small smile on his face.

"I know, but it's hard. I don't want some guy to break your heart, you know I only want the best for you."

"I know, and I thank you. And besides you made me have a selection when I didn't want to in the first place."

"Your mother made me." I laughed at how quickly he accused Edaline and she gave a stare before continuing to eat her food.

And thankfully for the rest of breakfast we spoke about a whole different topic.

After a nice date with a selected, I had a couple hours to waste before I had my next one. So I decided to head to Fitz's room instead of him usually coming to mine.

I knocked on his door before I heard a "come in" from the other side.

I entered the room, closing the door behind me.

"Hello princess. I was just about to go to your room." I sat next to him, wrapping my arms around him.

He kissed the top of my head, also wrapping his arms around me.
