The Day | Part 7: Insurrection

Recap

Luke, Grayson and Dustin find themselves inside the ruins of the town they spent months at, now in ruins. Inside they find Dominus Maledict, Luke and Coles father along with Adrian seemingly brought back from the dead, just as Cole wakes up from an undisclosed location nearby.

What will they do next?

Cole opens his eyes, groggy at first before he remembers what he was doing before he was knocked out.

-Previously, inside the warehouse-

Cole ran around looking for the one who killed Adrian, he stumbled upon a room where inside stood what Cole could only describe as a ghost, he stared at him, unsure what to do he called out to him.

"A-Adrian..?"

He turned around, and Cole saw those baby blues once more, he was overwhelmed with joy.

Until he suddenly felt the air around him cease to be, and he felt like he was drowning, and in fact he was drowning, Cole looked hurt, confused and betrayed, he tried grasping at his throat, tried pulling the water away he couldn't even use his fire, nothing worked.

When he looked back at Adrian, he didn't receive the warm look he was expecting, instead it was like that of a wild animal.

"Adrian!-" But his words didn't reach him, he quickly lost consciousness and collapsed on the floor.

-Back to the present-

He stood up, looking around confused, he touched the cage and was administered a controlled shock.

He snaps his hand back "The hell..?" He looks up and sees Luke and Dustin, then looking to his left, he sees his father, and Adrian standing next to him.

He wasn't sure whether to be angry or happy, his Prowess flared up in response to his emotions and he began banging and tearing at the cage.

The others look at him, and Luke let's out a sigh of relief.

He cracks his knuckles.

"Alright, now I'm feeling ready to fight, it's time to get started." Luke's anger was fresh as he remembered Brock, his Prowess churning in response.

Luke gets in a stance to dash, and at the same time Cole rips apart the bars on his cage.

Simultaneously, they dash to him.

"Adrian."

Cole and Luke clash, creating a large shockwave, their anger heating up the air around them.

Except they didn't hit him, instead two figures stand protecting him.

Standing in front of Dominus protecting him was Adrian and Grayson, Adrian using the rain to his advantage, created a shield to block Cole, while Grayson stopped Luke using an artificial gauntlet of some kind.

"I was wondering when you'd show up." Dominus says

"Apologies for the delay sir, I had to make a phone call." Grayson responds

"You have a great rest of your day!" Grayson waves to the last customer leaving
