"Mom, where are we going?" Yeonjun asked anoyyed.
"I already told you 5000 times." Yeonjun's mom explained.
"No, you didn't." He pouted.
Yeonjun's mom abruptly stops her steps, causing Yeonjun to come to a stop as well. A deep sigh escapes her lips, showing her frustration and exhaustion. "Niki, please explain to your dumb brother."
Niki sighed as well before explaining, "We are going to eat Korean barbecue."
"Why?" Yeonjun tilted his head.
Niki let out an exasperated sigh and rolled his eyes. "It's because you were being lazy and wouldn't get up on your own. Mom had to practically drag you out of bed to make you go," he explained.
"Ohh, that's why she pulled on my ear this morning." Yeonjun said. Niki sighed again.
Earlier...
"Niki, please tell your brother to wake up. He's been sleeping in his room," his mother said, annoyed as she got ready for the day.
Niki nodded and started making his way to his brother's room. It had been nearly a week since he had last seen his brother outside of his room. The only time Niki remembered caughting a glimpse of him was when he came home from ice skating, but he didn't look the happiest.
"Yeonjun, are you awake?" said Niki as he knocked on the door, waiting for a response.
There was no answer. He was probably still in a deep sleep. Niki thought.
Who was he fooling? It was nearly 3 p.m., and there was no chance that Yeonjun, being the early riser that he was, would still be asleep. It was clear that Yeonjun was purposefully ignoring him at this moment.
"If you don't get up, I'm telling mom." Niki said.
Still no answer.
With a heavy sigh, he returned to his mother's room, "He refuses to wake up. I think it's best if you go and tell him or something because he keeps ignoring me." Niki calmly explained.
"Gosh, why is your brother like this?!" She whines as she gets out of her room and goes to Yeonjuns.
As she burst into the room, her eyes widened in shock at the chaotic scene before her. Bowls were scattered on the nightstand, clothes across the floor, and his phone lay abandoned on the ground, displaying a photo of a man that she did not recognize.
"Choi Yeonjun!" She yelled.
Yeonjun let out a frustrated groan as he shifted his gaze towards his mother. "What do you want?" he asked in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Watch your tone, but why the hell is your room a mess?" His mother asked.
Yeonjun simply shrugged his shoulders, causing a sigh from his mother as she started to gather her hair into a ponytail. "Come on, get moving. We're heading out to grab some Korean barbecue," she declared.
