Alex sat down in the table, he had a major dispute to resolve: the dispute over a large chuck of Belize territory by Guatemala. The Guatemalan diplomats would budge a bit.
The debates continued:
"The Dispute should be internationally arbitrated" said Alex
"We want all of our land" said Guatemalan Diplomat.
"You won't get any" said the Belizean Diplomat.
"How 'bout we settle for a compromise" Alex said
And pulled out a map of a new border. Where Belize would cede minor territory to Guatemala in Toledo, Cayo, and Orange walk disctricts along the western border while the southern border remains the same.
"In exchange for this cession of land. Guatemala must purchase this land for 2 Billion US dollars, is that acceptable" Alex said.
"Fine" both diplomats said with reluctance and just like that the age old border dispute between Belize and Guatemala was solved and Soon both would become members of the North American union when it was formed.
