The news anchor spoke:

"It is once again Election night in the North American Union. Although Popular the Unions's Government faces an uphill battle this election. The first issue they face is the creation of two new parties: the Left wing to far left, Left Party, and the Center to Center Left, Green Liberal Party. The second challenge they face is an unfavorable map due to the addition of new members to the union. While polling shows them ahead they seem to be unable to form a majority according to the most reliable opinion polls. And the Patriot Party, which formerly objected to the union on any grounds now accepts its existence, albeit with reforms and is willing to form a coalition with the Conservative Union. Will the LSU retain control of the chancellorship, or will Carlos Mendoza Ramírez's Conservative Union take power. This is North America decides!"

The night continued and Alex was doing ok but not as well as last time, he won less seats in the US, Canada, and barely any in Mexico. The Caribbean was still solidly in LSU hands but Central America went to the Conservatives.

At the end of the night, the results look like this:

Out of 1500 seats:

LSU: 720 (48%)

CU: 600 (40%

The Patriots : 165 (11%)

The left:15 (1%)

Alex sighed, they were unable to form a majority and this meant that Ramírez would become chancellor or there would be another election. He heard that coalition talks between the CU and the patriots began. It was extremely likely that Carlos Mendoza Ramírez would become Chancellor.

Alex would likely face a leadership challenge in the wake of the defeat, it was announced that Daniel Alvarez of the Dominican Republic had decided to challenge him for leadership. Alex decided that he would run again.
