I pondered over the possibility of her intentions, but deep down, a part of me hoped that her motivations were as simple and pure as the chance to be genuinely accepted and cared for.

Pero sa tuwing naalala kong nagpapanggap lang itong tunay na anak ng ama ni Zein, agad na papalitan ng pagdududa ang pakiramdam ko sa kanya.

"Why do you want me to attend with your debutante?" I questioned her about the reason behind her invitation i know it sounds really rude to question an invitation just like that but i just want to know her reason, the girl hesitated for a brief moment before answering.

"You see" she began softly, a trace of uncertainty in her voice.

"This will be my first debutante, and I suppose I could use some support from a friend and that's you i guess." The vulnerability in her words was evident ngumiti ito ng bahagya walang bahid ng inis ang tono nito tila ba hindi nabahala sa pag kwestyon ko sa kanya.

Instead i saw a mix of genuine sincerity and nervousness could be felt in the air as she awaited my response.

I can't decline her, even if i like or not.

Siguradong pag iinitan ako ni Tanda oras na malaman nyang tinanggihan ko ang invitation nito..

I smiled slightly before answering

"I'd be honored to attend," I responded gently, my voice carrying a warm and supportive tone.

Maybe we could find a somehow an information at her debutant. Siguradong andon din si Tanda, Takot pa naman ito kay Zyaire.

It would be easy for me to intimidate him and find out if he's really aware with this issue about his so called long lost daughter..

The girl's face lit up with genuine excitement at my acceptance, her eyes sparkling with gratitude.

"Really!” she exclaimed, a wide grin spreading across her face. “Oh my gosh, thank you so much ate!” She respond happyly the excitement on her face was evident.

"Of course," I replied warmly, my smile widening in response to her enthusiasm. "It will be a pleasure to be a part of your special celebration."

"You won't regret it, I promise, im going to make my ball as the happiest place you can be" she declared, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. Kumunot naman ang noo ko sa sinabi nya.

"Why me? It was supposed to be you, since it is your debutante" I frowned questionly, She didn't respond in vocal but instead she shrugged her shoulder and smiled at me warmly. Dahilan para lalo akong maguluhan magtatanong pa sana ako ng biglang unahan nya akong tanungin.

"Just being metaphoric, Anyway ate can i ask you something?" I raised an eyebrow slightly, intrigued by her sudden shift in topic.

"Of course," I replied, my curiosity piqued.

"What is it that you want to ask?"

"It's actually about a philosophical belief that our professor tasked us to inquire about," she explained.

"I've tried asking Papa, but he doesn't seem very interested in the topic. So I thought maybe I could ask you instead." She added, napairap nalang ako sa aking isipan ng marinig ang tungkol sa ama ni Zein.

Grabe kahit kailan walang sense kasama ang matandang yon.

"Ah, I see," I nodded, understanding her request.

"So you'd like to hear my thoughts on the philosophical belief your professor has tasked you to inquire about?" I ask confirming her request, she nodded politely.

"Yep" answered by her

I pondered for a moment, considering the topic at hand. My knowledge of philosophy was limited, but I had some insights.

Pero kahit ganon ay laman naman ang utak ko sa ganitong bagay, Philosophy e..

Required lang naman dito yung pagiging pilosopo diba.

"Alright," I said, meeting her gaze.

"What specific aspect of the philosophical belief are you looking to understand better? I'll share my thoughts and opinions on it." Tanong ko dito, she thanked me before answering.

"Thank you," she replied with a grateful expression. Then, she took a moment to gather her thoughts before continuing.

"It's about rebirth, specifically the philosophical concept known as metempsychosis or reincarnation," she explained, leaving me stunned and momentarily immobilized.

Out of all the topics her professor could have assigned, she had chosen the very one that resonated with my own experiences and Zein.

"Its a belief that the soul comes back to earth in a different body or form after the body dies or can switch body to another soul" I felt a jolt of shock and disbelief course through me as she explained the topic she had chosen.

Reincarnation, of all things... how could this be a mere coincidence?

"I see," I finally managed to respond, my voice tinged with astonishment kahit na ang totoo ay ramdam ko na ang malakas na kabog sa aking dibdib

"Reincarnation is indeed a profoundly fascinating concept." I stated faking a casual tone..

"What are your thoughts on it, and what has your own research or exploration uncovered on this topic?" Her eyes seemed to light up at my question, tila tuwang tuwa na tinanong ko ito patungkol sa kanyang opinion.

"Well," she began with a glimmer of excitement i waited a bit

"I truly believe that reincarnation is possible ate. Our souls continue to exist even after our bodies cease to function, and that these souls can find a new vessel to inhabit. This concept seems to offer an explanation for the existence of past lives or instances of deja vu."

I sighed slightly grabe, sya ang nagtatanong ng opinion ko but in the end sya din pala ang sasagot sa sarili nyang tanong.. hindi ko din naman kasi alam ang sasabihin ko

Alangan namang sabihin ko na naniniwala ako dahil na experience ko na.

Baka pagkamalan din nya akong nasisiraan ng ulo tulad ni Kzia, nailing ako sa aking isipan..

But speaking, asan na ba ang babaeng yon, mag iisang linggo ko na itong di nakikita.
