After Alastor harassed me about what I was going to be wearing for a whole fucking hour, he finally left me to go wait on Angel, who was taking a while, but I was perfectly content with waiting. I could hear eager muttering coming from Angel's room upstairs where Charlie was helping him get ready. I sighed and ran my hand through my actually brushed hair (which Alastor had insisted on, but I was leaning towards it anyways) as my leg bounced up and down nervously.
"You should try and compose yourself," Alastor suggested, startling me.
"Can you not do that?" I groaned, very annoyed with his sudden appearances and if he didn't own my soul, one of these days reflexes would get the better of me and I would punch him in his creepy smile.
"No, it is a part of who I am, Husker," he smiled, getting himself a drink from the bar.
I rolled my eyes, but my attention was quickly redirected to the clack of heels walking down the stairs. I stared in utter awe of who I saw. Angel looked absolutely beautiful, it almost made me cry. He was wearing a simple, fitted, light pink, sleeveless dress that went halfway down his thighs. He fashioned a pair of white boots that up to just over his knees and his regular black choker.
Charlie was also squealing excitedly behind him, but I barely noticed her because I couldn't take my eyes of of Angel.
"Is it too much?" He asked nervously as he met me at the base of the steps. He kept fidgeting with the hem of the dress and would look anywhere in the room but at me.
"No..." I said, almost forgetting how to speak. "You look beautiful."
Angel smiled softly as I stared at him in awe.
"Weren't you going somewhere," Alastor whispered indiscreetly in my ear, making Angel chuckle.
"Oh, yeah. Fuck," I muttered under my breath. Angel wrapped his hand in mine as we left the front hotel. Alastor followed close behind because for some reason he insisted on driving, but I didn't care, both me and Angel were too broke to own a car.
"Wow, such a gentlemen," Angel grinned sarcastically as I held open the car door for him.
"Do you still want to go on this date?" I threatened jokingly, waving my finger in his face.
He giggled and batted my hand away. I joined them both in the car when Angel leaned in close to me, wrapping his hand in mine. I could see Alastor's face contorted into an awkward expression in the rear view mirror. I smirked at his reaction, it was funny how much anything remotely romantic made him cringe but he was opting to help me with the date. Alastor was a pretty difficult person to read, but he seemed to not have any ulterior motives. I'd probably have to wait until tomorrow before he threatened me with something, but tonight wasn't about that. I was just excited to spend time with my partner.
"So where are we going?" Angel asked, looking out the windows trying to figure out where we were going.
"You'll see," I teased, Angel wasn't the best with patience, but it was fun seeing the way his lip curled up and he folded both sets of arm. I kissed his cheek when Alastor cleared his throat.
"I will crash this car," he stated casually as if it was normal.
"Can it, Smiles," Angel snapped.
Alastor grunted and seemed like he was tuning us out until we got near the place.
"Are we in Cannibal Town?" Angel questioned, grabbing my arm as if it would make me give an answer any faster.
I smirked and said, "Yeah, where else we gonna eat."
"We're eating other people? Never took you for a cannibal, but okay."
"No, you just gotta be careful what you order. Al's gonna go hang out with Rosie, so they'll probably be the only one's eating human flesh tonight."
