(I'm so excited to write again, I've had about ten different ideas running through my mind, so I'm super glad that this one is going to be on the long side. Well anyways, enjoy.)

Angel Dust groaned as he reached over his cramped arm and turned off the blaring alarm on his phone. He sat up and stared at the empty wall until his vision adjusted to the lights. The spider stood up and stretched all four of his arms before feeding his pet pig, Fat Nuggets, who was now consistently nudging his snout at his owner's feet, trying to tell the tired arachnid that he was hungry.

"I know, I know," Angel sighed as he reached down to pick up the squirming creature and smiled as he fed him. The little thing was one small joy in his life that he could count on, at some point in the spider's life, Nuggets was the only thing that kept him living (or as alive as you could get when you're already dead and in hell) when his best friend, Cherri Bomb, wasn't around.

At least that was over now. Angel had found a another thing that brought him peace, another thing that brought him joy. He had some how found himself tangled up in the confusing trap of love. He loved the way Husk made his heart flutter, but all at the same time he hated how he could never summon his usual false courage to tell him.

The love-baffled spider made his way down stairs, following his usual routine of sitting down at the center bar stool and took a sip from the drink that Husk had made so quickly it was like it appeared in front of Angel.

"Morning'," Husk said in his deep voice as he yawned and took another drink from his always present bottle of cheap whiskey. The usually grumpy cat's eyes lit up at the sight of Angel.

Husk had once tried to shove these befuddling feeling away, but every day he saw Angel it became more and more clear to the winged feline that this wasn't something he could ignore, but it wasn't exactly something he could just tell Angel. Thanks to his status as bartender, which made him the person that most people got drunk and bitched to, he knew all about what the poor spider was going through and didn't just want to throw anything at the one Husk was so close to.

"H-hey, Husk." Angel could feel the heat rising to his face as he spoke.

Husk rose an inquisitive eyebrow at his friend. "Something wrong?"

"No... I-I'm fine." The spider winced at the tone of his voice at each word.

"Are you sure? Did Valentino try any of his shit again?" Husk knew how this went, Angel usually took some coaxing before he opened up, but Husk was patient enough to wait.

"No, no. It isn't Val. But um... thanks for asking." Angel began to fiddle with his fingers, keeping his eyes on the bar counter so they didn't meet Husk's.

"Yeah, no problem." Husk smiled sweetly at the spider, silently laughing at his little ticks and nervous habits.

Angel could feel his cheeks getting hotter and his without his usual mask, he felt like he was going to die for a second time of embarrassment. "Y'know-um... I have to get to work... Bye," Angel said, his voice rising steadily as he stood up and whisked himself out the door and made his way to the studio.

Husk cocked his head to the side and pondered for a moment over Angel's unusual behavior.

"He likes you," a sing-song like voice called in his large cat-like ears.

"Alastor! What the fuck?" Husk shouted, stumbling and almost falling over from the sudden materialization of the radio demon.

"The 'what' in this matter is that he likes you and even I know it," The deer-like sinner said, nodding as if agreeing with himself.

"No he doesn't." Husk attempted to brush Alastor away. "I have a job, you gave it to me, now let me do it."

"Hmm, never thought you as one not to notice such simple things on such little details, Husker," Alastor smirked, obviously trying to annoy the now pissed feline.
