Angel Dust sat in his pink neon illuminated dressing room, waiting for Valentino to barge in and shout at him. The spider's mindless staring at the wall was interrupted my a small chime on his phone. It took him a minute to actually find his phone, but eventually got it and opened his messages. It was from Husk and the second that the arachnid saw his name, he caught himself smiling.

'What time are you going to be back? 'It read.

Angel typed up a response, 'Maybe a little late, Val still needs to scream at me. Why?'

'Just seeing if you needed me to feed Nuggets', Husk responded.

'Yeah that would be great'

'Okay, how are you doing?'

Angel stared at the message for a second. He felt a sort of warmth envelope his body. He didn't know why, but the message just made him... happy. Happy that someone cared. Especially that the someone was Husk, who he loved more than anything.

'I'm alright', the spider responded.

'Good. See you soon, love.'

Angel smiled at his phone before he heard the familiar clack of heels storming to his dressing room. He choked down the lump in his throat as a pit opened in his stomach. Fuck, he wished Husk was here right now.

"Angel!" He snapped, slamming open the door loudly, as he marched toward the frightened spider. "What the actual FUCK was that today?" The moth grabbed Angel's arm and pulled him close to his face.

"I-I'm so sorry Val... I-" Angel began in a shaking voice.

"I don't need your excuses! I need you to do a good fucking performance and make me money, you whore!" Val snarled, his voice getting louder as he threw the arachnid on the floor.
Angel cried out in pain and stammered, "I-I'm sorry. I'll do better! I promi-" He yelped again as Val jerked him back up, grabbing his face so their eyes could meet.

"You'd better you useless slut!" The enraged man tossed Angel by the door. "Or there won't be a next time... Do you hear me?" His voice got ominously quiet but remained fierce with words so sharp that they could cut through the spider's soul.

"Yes... Valentino," Angel whimpered with pain as he scrambled back to his feet, whining in the process. Val stomped out of the room, letting the door slam so forcefully that the walls shook. The arachnid quickly started to gather his things with trembling hands when his phone began to ring. He glanced at the name. It was Husk again, he hesitantly picked up the call.

'Husk, wha-what do you need. I'll be back in a l-little,' Angel said, his voice wavering.

'Just checking in, are you okay?' Husk asked. Angel sensed the worry in his voice and immediately regretted answering the call.

'Yeah... just- just Val,' he sighed in response, but quickly added, 'But I'm fine, so you don't-'

'I'm coming to get you,' Husk interrupted briskly. Angel tried to protest that he was okay, but the cat like sinner had already hung up.

Husk had already hated Valentino for all the shit he put Angel through and tonight he had another reason to be pissed. He'd kill the jackass, but right now he just wanted to make sure that the spider was alright. Angel never really spoke about how he was, he usually just deflected with a joke whenever Husk asked, but sometimes it took some coaxing to help him open up. Husk was just fine with waiting for him, but he knew that Angel was hurt and he wouldn't just sit down and wait for him to stumble back to the hotel and almost collapse on the floor.

Angel paced his room, praying that Valentino wouldn't decide to come back, when he heard a small knock on his door. He hoped that it wasn't Val, but instead, it was Husk.

"Th-that was fast," Angel stuttered, on the verge of tears. He knew that he didn't want Husk to come and get him, but he needed him.

Husk looked the spider up and down, taking in his state and frowned while he spoke, "Angel..." He wrapped the other in a sweet embrace, using his arms to shield his love from all harm.

"Thank you," Angel choked out, letting himself sink into the cat's arms and feel the warmth surround him. At this point he just let the tears fall and Husk felt them seep into his fur.

"Hey... hey, baby what's wrong?" Husk spoke softly, trying not to startle the other sinner.

"I love you," Angel said in between sobs, burying his face in the crook of his lover's neck.

"Where's this coming from?" Husk asked as he began to run his fingers through the spider's hair to comfort him.

Angel was overcome by emotions right now. He loved Husk so much. He loved how much the cat cared for him and loved him... the real him. "Just... Thank you," Angel whispered.

"You're welcome for whatever this is about," Husk teased, making the spider giggle as he curled deeper into the hug, letting the winged sinner protect him.

Angel heard a familiar voice shouting in the distance and he knew that Husk heard it too. His ears flattened and he produced a low growl.

"C-can we go back to the hotel?" Angel asked, wanting to be as far away form Valentino as possible.

"Of course, Anthony," Husk said lovingly, kissing the spider on the forehead and making his partner blush before asking, "Are you okay with flying?"

Angel stared at Husk for a moment before understanding what he said. Husk had a smirk spread across his face and Angel was suddenly very scared.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It turned out that Angel Dust had every right to be scared. They landed on the spider's balcony and Angel struggled to regain balance as stepped foot back on the ground. He inevitably lost all stability, so Husk had to catch him quickly.
"Never again," Angel stated in a shaky voice, making Husk laugh softly and kiss his lover on the cheek.
"Sorry about that," Husk chuckled, guiding the spider back to his feet and into his room. It was the same neon pink as his dressing room, although it was a little bit messier and Angel was not a very organized person and neither was Husk so they both didn't do anything about it. The sleeping pig on the side of the bed awoke quickly to the sounds of his owner arriving home. He poked his snout at the arachnid's feet until he picked him up and hugged Nuggets close to his chest.
Husk smiled at the sight and sat down at the edge of the bed. Angel noticed this and came and rested his head on the other's shoulder beside him. The winged sinner intertwined their fingers as started to stroke Angel's hair with the other hand. Angel suddenly sat up and felt the tears well up in his eyes again.
"Anthony? Did I do something wrong?" Husk asked, turning to face the other, whose tears were now rolling down his cheeks.
"Why-why did you h-have to go and make me so fucking happy," he choked out, trying to wipe away all the tears, but they came streaming down his face faster than he expected.
Husk suddenly felt very sad for the other, who was crying because he hadn't been so happy. Husk smiled sadly at his broken spider and pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss. Angel was startled at first, but didn't hesitate to kiss him back. Husk broke the kiss and pulled the other into a loving embrace.
"I love you," Husk whispered gently to the one he had wrapped in his arms.
"I-I'm so lucky to have you," Angel sniffled as he hid his head in the cat's fur.
Husk laughed softly, knowing damn well that he was the lucky one. Husk wished that the spider knew how happy he made him. He wished that Angel knew how much he loved him.
