Angel Dust was sitting on the couch in the hotel parlor mindlessly scrolling through his phone while he listened to Charlie having a panic attack about her next redemption lesson while Vaggie tried to calm her down in the other room. His moments of nothingness was shortly interrupted by a certain bartender who plopped down on top of him tiredly.
"Hey, Husky," Angel giggled as the cat readjusted until he found a comfortable spot snuggled up in Angel's chest. "What'cha doin' baby?"
"I'm tired..." Husk grumbled.
"That's my job," Angel teased, although Husk just stirred grumpily in his arms. Angel took his partner's hat and began to stroke Husk's fur, making the cat purr happily. Angel smiled at his reaction.
Unfortunately for Angel, Husk had put him in a very uncomfortable position where Husk had dug his knee into Angel's leg and his elbow in the spider's side. Angel tried to discreetly shift his body, but Husk tightened his grip around the arachnid's stomach.
"Don't you fucking dare move," Husk muttered.
"Husk..." Angel coaxed the persistent cat.
"No," he groaned.
"C'mon, at least get your arm outta my side." Angel took his two free hands that were not being suppressed by his stubborn boyfriend and lifted Husk's head up to meet his. Angels eyes were met with two drowsy ones.
"No."
Angel pecked Husk on the lips before caving, "Fine, only because you look so damn adorable when you're sleepy." Husk grumbled in response and buried his head back into Angel's fluff.
Angel got used to Husk's slight twitching and uncomfortable sleeping position, but after a while, he really started hoping that the cat would move. As Husk's purrs were met with tired snores and Angel tried to wriggle out of his partner's grasp, but once again failed miserably.
"No." Husk secured his grasp on his now very annoyed boyfriend.
Angel huffed and decided to let the exhausted cat, that clearly wasn't going to budge, stay snuggled into him. The spider continuously ran his fingers through Husk's soft fur, the repetitive motion mixed with Husk's low humming purrs began to lull him to sleep faster than any lullaby.
After a while Angel woke up to an annoying vibrating coming from his phone. He groaned as he realized that it was from Valentino. Honestly he stopped caring right now so he put his phone back down and looked back at the cat who was still sleeping in an awkward orientation on his chest. He was going to fall back asleep when his phone started buzzing again with more messages from fucking Val again. Angel yawned and started scrolling through the string of angry texts, scowling at each one.
Husk began to stir in his arms when Val decided to call.
"Sorry, baby," Angel whispered before picking up the call. "What?"
"Hi, Angelcakes~" Val cooed, his voice sending chills down the spider's spine. "Now, are you going to tell me why the fuck you aren't up here."
Angel was tired and wanted nothing more than to fall back asleep with Husk and spend the rest of the week like that. But Val would hate that. "Sorry, Val... I'll be up there in a minute."
"Work?" Husk said in a low, tired voice, lifting his head up, looking at Angel with groggy eyes.
"Yeah, sorry Husky," Angel told him, scratching Husk's ear making the cat purr happily.
"Nothin' to be sorry 'bout, love." Husk kissed the spider lovingly and crawled out of his partner's arms, lying back down after Angel got up, making him giggle as he kissed his kitten goodbye.
(So fucking short, but I'm running outa ideas. Please help me.)
