(Bit of not super descriptive gore at the beginning. Just a small warning for any squeamish people, but if you don't like needles, skip to the very end. Hope you enjoy)

Husk followed his regular routine of any mundane night while he tended to an empty bar, that was currently missing its nightly customer. Husk's ears then twitched at the sounds of the heavy hotel doors creaking open, and he whipped his head around to see painful sight. A very unsteady Angel Dust had somehow managed to push open the door in his current, disheveled state and now had his two right arms holding onto the door for support.

Husk rushed over the bar counter and to the aid of the disarrayed spider and held out his own hands for Angel to lean on. As Angel took Husk's outreached arms, Husk noticed the shakiness in his whole body and looked up to see a deep and bleeding cut right above his left eye. It wasn't spewing blood, but it looked like it definitely wasn't helping him see any better.

"Shit," Husk muttered before asking, "Can you walk?"

Angel didn't respond, but instead shook his head and whimpered from the pain.

"Can I pick you up?" Husk asked, not wanting to startle the trembling Angel Dust with any other sudden touch.

Angel, once again, didn't respond, but nodded with a small groan .

Husk lifted Angel up from under his legs, Angel wrapping his arms around Husk's shoulders. Husk could feel the warm, thick liquid from Angel's eye running down the back of his neck, and seeping into his own fur as he trudged up the stairs. They reached Angel's room and Husk set him down, gently as he could, onto the edge of the bed and instructed him not to move, before rushing off to the bathroom to ransack the medicine cabinet.

Husk stood in front of Angel, setting the assortment of pain killers and bandages he found. Out of the small pile he pulled out an odd needle and an interesting looking thread. Angel's eyes instantly widened at the sight as he leaned away from the threat.

"I know, I don't wanna do this either," Husk said, obviously not comforting the very shaken spider well enough.

"H-have you even done this before?" Angel asked, not taking his eyes off of the needle in Husk's hand.

"Yes. Once or twice."

"You can't remember if it was once or twice?" Angel squeaked, his voice rising with fear. He looked like a child at a doctor's office and it seemed as if he was ready to bolt despite all injuries.

"Calm down, I don't need you thrashing about."

"Easy for you to say, ya bastard." Angel was now on the verge of an absolute panic attack. He was wavering, ready to fall into complete terror. Husk was well aware of this and the guilt was starting to eat him up, but he'd rather not have his boyfriend bleed out.

"How the fuck did you get cut anyways?" Husk asked, pulling out a package of alcohol wipes.

"Some fucking drunk ass bastard thought it would be a good idea to start chucking whatever weapons he had around the street."

Husk stared at him like he was stupid as he ripped open the package and pressed it to Angel's slightly less bleeding wound. Angel was not expecting it to sting as much as it did, and was very startled at the sudden burning sensation that met his skin. He jumped back and glared at his partner who just rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Y'know, you could let me help you," Husk sighed unhelpfully as he pored medicinal alcohol into a glass, setting the needle in to sterilize it. After a few minutes of awkward silence, Husk finally pulled the needle out of the glass with a needle driver and moved closer to Angel as the frightened spider tried to inch away. "Angel, please. I just want to help."

Angel stared at Husk, cringing as his eyes darted to the needle. "Fine..." He finally admitted defeat.

Husk handed Angel a random pillow since he didn't have anything else for him to use to not scream. The cat demon held both sides of the open wound pinched together and got to work. The arachnid on the other hand, tried his best to keep his eye from squinting while tears pored down his face and he screamed into the pillow for the entire time, making Husk feel more and more guilty for not being able to work faster.

Husk cleaned around the finished stitches and decided it best to bandage it just in case he didn't do a good enough job and the skin ripped apart again. Angel had stopped crying loudly and had curled up on the bed, knees to his chest as he stared at the wall as to not cry while he kept his hand in the repetitive motion of stroking his pet pig, Fat Nuggets. Husk had cleaned up and left the room, returning with a glass of water for his partner.

A sudden banging on the door had startled the two of them, who were now both comfortably resting in bed.

"Husk? Angel? Are you guys alright?" A voice that they both recognized as Charlie called.

Husk gave a questioning look to Angel, as if asking him if it was alright if Charlie saw him like this. Angel nodded without another word and Husk opened the door to be met by a frantic and recently awoken blonde and another figure Husk made out as Vaggie, who was standing defensively, spear in hand, off to the side. "Shit," Husk cringed, "did we wake you up?"

"Yes, I heard screaming. Is everything alright?" She said inquisitively as she glanced at Angel, who was still lying in bed, nervously. Husk saw her eyes widen ever so slightly as she caught a glimpse of the crumpled spider with a bandage secured around his eyes.

"This dumb-ass just ran into some trouble that's all," Husk sighed, his eyes darting back at Angel, who now had an offended look on his face.

"Alright, if you say so." Charlie shrugged. "Sleep well," she waved and walked away, Vaggie sending a sympathetic look at Husk before joining Charlie in their room.

Husk slid back into bed next to Angel, who began to readjust himself, comfortably, on his boyfriend's chest. He was still breathing heavily and Husk began to stroke his hand along Angel's back in an attempt to make sure he felt safe. They didn't say anything to ruin the moment, but they sat there in loving silence until they both fell into a deep sleep.

(I'm sorry that this one was so short, I ran out of ideas for the ending)
