Husk and Angel Dust were lying in bed, the cat like sinner, who was curled up in Angel's side, was purring as Angel continued to pet him. Then, Angel abruptly sat up as the soft pattering sounds on the windows resonated through the room. Husk grumbled, pulling himself up weakly as his tail flicked in agitation from the sudden movement of his boyfriend practically tossing the other off him.

"Love... What-What are you doing?" Husk groaned his voice drawling as he yawned.

Angel turned back to face the kitten with a big, genuine smile. "It's raining," he said, giddy with excitement as he stood up, throwing on a pink and lavender rain jacket. "C'mon, Whiskers," Angel coaxed, dragging a grumpy Husk out of bed.

"Angel! Where are we going?" Husk muttered, prying himself away from his boyfriend's grasp. He wouldn't say that he wasn't annoyed, but he found the spider's excitement endearing.

"Outside!" Angel giggled, continuing down the stairs, Husk trailing close at his feet, although running by the bar and grabbing a red umbrella, decorated with different card symbols and rushing back after Angel. The spider grabbed Husk's hand, pulling him along outside through the rain. Husk quickly opened the umbrella because he always hated the feeling of the water soaking through his fur.

"Why are we out here?" Husk asked, grabbing his already very rain-soaked lover and dragging him under the umbrella.

Angel looked away, his smile dropping. "It's a stupid reason," he sighed, just the thought of memory raining a downcast feeling over his joy.

Husk smiled sadly and placed a comforting hand on the other's cheek. "Well, that's okay," Husk said, pecking a soft kiss on Angel's cheek, before taking him to sit down on the sidewalk. It was kind of ironic, reminding them both of a certain day. "You can tell me anything, darling."

Angel's eyes darted anywhere else besides Husk's as a bittersweet smile adorned his face. "Well," he began, "when I was alive my sister loved the rain and we would always go outside while my brother sat at the front steps of the house, watching reluctantly because my mother would always make him. One time my mother spent the whole day scolding my sister because she went outside and dragged me with and we both ended up getting sick. Molly was always the bolder one, and my brother was kind of a buzzkill, and I-I kind of miss those times."

Husk sat and listened as Anthony continued to talk, he was a lot like Charlie in a way that if you got him started on something he could talk for an hour. Husk didn't mind, he loved just being able to sit and listen and stare at his Angel's beautiful face as the raindrops pattered around them.

Angel talked for a little more until his voice started to trail off. "I wish I could relive that..." Angel mumbled, his voice wavering and Husk could notice that the spider was shivering.

"Alright, amore mio," Husk sighed, helping Angel up and wrapping his arm around him. "You're freezing. Let's head back now."

"But... But I'm not... I'm not cold," Angel stammered, trying to convince his boyfriend, but failing as Husk swept the spider up into his arms and dragged him back to the hotel, Anthony laughing as he protested the whole way there.

Husk laughed and pulled Angel into a long, loving kiss, rain still falling peacefully around them, blocking out all other sounds of chaos and leaving the two only in the other's loving presence.
