(Okay I know I'm straying, but I had a really good idea and I promise that the next chapter will actually be angst. Bear with me just a little longer)

(Warning- Typical Valentino mentions)

"You're done for the day," Valentino spat, his trademark pink, hazy smoke floated around the room. "I expect you to be here on time tomorrow." With that, he slammed the door and left Angel Dust to stumble his way back to his feet as he slid his jacket back on as he fumbled with his phone. He wanted to get out of there quickly, but he couldn't run fast enough, although he rushed out of the front doors of the Vee tower and tried to keep the tears in. He quickly called Husk with shaking hands and listened anxiously to the sounds of ringing.

Husk, luckily for Angel, picked up fast. "Hey, love. What is it?" Husk asked with a small yawn. He had been waiting for him to come home for a little while now. It wasn't anything new but he was planning on calling before he went to bed anyways.

"C-can you come g-get me," he stammered, trying to calm himself down so he didn't worry his lover as he spoke.

Husk noticed the quivering tone in Angel's voice and was already headed out the door of the hotel. "Angel, are you okay baby?" The bartender asked, very worried about his partner, as he started up his car and pulled out of the Hazbin Hotel's driveway.

"I'm fine... Just... p-please hurry," Angel choked out, sniffling and wiping away the tears before they could fall. He didn't want to spend another moment alone. He wan't to wash the feeling off of his skin. It was so bad that he almost wanted to rip his own skin off entirely.

"Yeah... Yeah, I'll be right there love," Husk said quickly, already five minutes away from the Vee tower, although he did run into five different turf wars and angry people shooting up random shit on the way there. As he pulled up he saw the tall outline of a shaking, spider-like figure on the pavement who's head perked up nervously as he heard the car approaching.

"Oh shit," Husk muttered as he hopped out of the car to take Angel's hand and help him get in. As he held out his hand, Angel took it hesitantly and helped him into the passenger seat. "Angel, love, you're not okay."

"I just want to go back to the hotel," the spider sighed. He swore he almost passed out right then and there, but he didn't know why. He wasn't totally exhausted. He didn't know what he was feeling. It was a jumbled mess of emotions, he was scared and upset. Angry and tired. And a million other things he couldn't place.

Husk tried to drive and keep and eye on the trembling arachnid, but it wasn't working out very well. He had seen Angel come home with injuries or feeling upset or exhausted before. But he hadn't seen him like this. He wasn't exactly frightened, but he looked very shaken. The whole car ride Angel stared dead straight to the middle of the road to keep the tears from falling. They reached the hotel and Husk helped Angel out of the car and led him up to the doors of the hotel. He was walking better on his own now so that was good.

They got up the stairs alright and made it to Husk's room. Angel sat down on the side of the bed and stared blankly at the wall in front of him. Husk went into the bathroom and came back with his medical kit that he had kept ever since Angel had first told him about what Valentino did.

"Did he hurt you?" Husk asked, placing his hand on top of Angel's and making the spider flinch at the touch.

Angel continued to stare at the wall as he spoke in a quiet voice. "Just a little," the spider stated. "But I'm fine."

"Angel..." Husk sighed, very worried about his partner. "You're obviously not fine. Where did he hurt you?"

Angel paused for a moment before taking a shaky breath. "I'm fine," he replied, still not breaking eye contact with the wall. "Well... he didn't h-hurt me like that..." Angel's breathing began to turn shaky and his tears were threatening to fall.

"What do you mean love?" Husk asked, but he already knew. He pulled Angel into a tight embrace, wrapping his arms around him to shield him from all harm. He knew what Valentino was like and he didn't just hurt Angel physically but he damaged him mentally. He hurt Anthony's sense of self worth, to the point where he almost forgot what it was like to feel actually cared about and cherished.

"It was a really hard day. Valentino had me working double shifts, back to back. I had so many people treat me like I was some fucking toy. I couldn't get rid of the feeling and... and Valentino called me back to his office and... I-I told him no. The feeling won't go away..." Angel started really started crying, tears streaming down his face as quiet sobs turned into loud cries. Husk held on to him as the spider's tears soaked into his fur. The cat like sinner wrapped his wings around Angel protectively and whispered sweet nothings to him, soothing him as best he could.

Angel's cries turned into inaudible sobs as Husk started to run his fingers through the trembling spider's hair as he spoke. "You feeling better, Anthony?" Husk asked Angel in a calming voice.

Angel lifted his head so his red, teary eyes could meet the other sinner's. He nodded softly before sniffling and speaking in a voice so quiet it was barely audible. "I just want the feeling to go away." He had always been treated like this. Like he wasn't a person with feelings and people could just grab at him and use him for their pleasure. This may have happened so often but after he had learned what it was really like to be cherished and loved and cared about. It wasn't an escape, it felt more like a cage that he was trapped in. He didn't have- no he didn't want to use the drugs to make him feel 'better' anymore. Honestly despite everything, he felt better without them. He felt better that he was helping Charlie's cause and that he was improving himself.

"Why don't I go start you up a bath and then after that we just lie down. We can watch a movie or you can talk about your day," Husk suggested, pulling Angel into a loving kiss. To Anthony, Husk's touch was much more gentle and tender than Valentino's.

Angel nodded as a small smile spread across his face. "Th-That sounds nice," Anthony sighed. Husk kissed him on his temple and wrapped him in another loving embrace.
