(So here's some sad shit also little not very descriptive blood warning for my squeamish people)
(Also idea was from PJO-swiftea)
It was the middle of an extermination and the chaos unfolded around them. Despite losing Adam, the army seemed to have gotten stronger and Lute seemed to have gotten angrier. That last one was the most surprising of the two. Charlie was currently on the verge of a mental breakdown while fighting off some of the exterminators with her girlfriend, Vaggie, who seemed way more on edge than usual. Luckily Lucifer wasn't late this time, so they had a little more of an edge on the angels and after Alastor's over dramatic mental breakdown in the rubble of his radio tower during the last battle, he had been fueled with more rage and was now going absolutely psychotic when it came to killing exterminators, trying everything to regain his sense of power. Husk, Angel Dust, the spider's best friend Cherri Bomb, and Niffty were working together to fend off the left over enemies, although it felt weird reliving this without their old friend Sir Pentious to fight beside them. He had sacrificed himself in the last battle, leaving a terrible feeling of a battle that was won, but in a way, lost all in its own way and all the members of the Hazbin Hotel were hoping that this one wouldn't end in the same way.
"This is fucking insane!" Angel Dust screamed over the ruckus. "How is it possible for these bitches to get even more aggressive?" He turned to Husk and Cherri as he shot and Angel from behind, gold blood splattering on his side.
"Maybe because our housekeeper killed their fucking leader!" Husk shouted back, throwing another one of his angelic cards, nailing an exterminator in their neck in between her helmet and armor. "Angel, I love you but enough talking. More killing."
"You're boring!" Cherri Bomb groaned while lighting another one of her signature bombs that gave her her namesake and tossing it at a group of angels. "Lighten up ya old drunk!" Cherri had started out with no intention of ever trying redemption, but in the end, she ended up staying at the hotel for Angel.
The battle continued, more exterminators, more gold blood covering the ground. They were mostly separated, but all of the hotel inhabitants could here the familiar, ominous crackling sound of radio static. Suddenly a scream came from a voice they knew all to well.
"CHARLIE!" All of them shouted in unison, while taking off in the direction of the princess.
"Vaggie what happened?" Angel asked worriedly as they all looked around frantically for their friend.
"I'm okay!" Charlie called, directing everyone's eyes to where Lucifer was helping his daughter up. "Dad watch out!" Charlie, who was now back on her feet warned, killing another one of the angels.
They sighed exasperatedly as they all went back to their stations. After a few minutes, Husk noticed that Angel was missing, he told this to Cherri who thought nothing of it at first, but after another minute they were actually worried about the spider. They rushed around the hotel, checking everywhere, but they couldn't find him.
"Angie, where the FUCK are you! You're making up worried you dumb bitch!" Cherri screamed into the air as Husk paced around, looking literally everywhere.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit," Husk muttered, running his fingers through his blood-stained hair.
Cherri turned back around to the other sinner, "What do we do?"
"How the fuck am I supposed to know?" Husk shrugged."I don't know you're his boyfriend!"
"And you're his best friend! You've known him longer!" Husk was internally freaking out. He didn't think Angel as the type to just run off, the type to come home at three AM with no communication beforehand what so ever, yes, yes he was.
A shout erupted and echoed through the air. Cherri turned back to Husk, but noticed that he was already gone and took off in the direction of the shout. Husk caught a quick glimpse of the spider hitting the ground and sprinted over. He noticed an exterminator, armed with a spear, he threw another one of his cards, nailing her in the chest. The angel fell quickly and the cat like sinner turned back to his spider.
"Angel! Fuck!" Husk dropped down beside the arachnid, lifting him up into his arms, scanning his injuries with his eyes. He was in critical condition and these wounds would not heal.
Angel looked up at the other weakly. "Damn, that kinda hurt," he winced, covering a deep gash in his side with one of his arms.
"You dumb ass," Husk scolded, pulling Angel close to his chest. He knew what was going to happen no matter what, but it would make it easier to pretend this would all go away. He didn't want to lose someone again, especially not the only one who he loved so much.
Angel laughed softly, but regretted it and had a rattling cough. "Y'know, I always thought that eventually I'd have to give one of these 'death speeches', but I never thought I'd be giving it to someone I actually fell in love with and I never, ever would've thought I would have fell for some drunk ass bartender."
"Wow," Husk sighed, choking on the lump in his throat. "I love you too." He could feel tears well up in his eyes and he didn't want to listen, but I guess it seemed to keep the spider's mind off things for now.
"Y'know, I feel like I should be happy to get away from Val, but I-I'm gonna just say, I'd miss you. And I feel kind of bad, I feel like I let Charlie down. I'm never gonna get redeemed, so what was the point of this anyway."
"You didn't let Charlie down," Husk said, running his fingers through Angel's gold blood splattered hair comfortingly. "You know that. You have been clean for six fucking months, right? That's amazing and we're all so glad."
"Thanks, Whiskers. You made this Hell a lot more bearable, y'know and I feel so stupid for not being able to help you too." Husk shook his head. Angel had done more than enough for him. In fact, he was the best thing that ever happened to him. "I-I'm lucky to have you,r-really, I am." Husk noticed all the red, thick blood spilling out all over the ground.
"Do you have to do this?" Husk asked jokingly, but failing and letting the tears that built up in his eyes fall. He didn't want to lose Angel.
"Yeah, but it's nice having you here. It makes it less scary." Angel forced a pained smile and reached his hand up to Husk's face.
"God dammit, Angel. This is the scariest thing ever." He wasn't lying. It really was.
"I know..." The spider sighed. "I know..."
(I'll have part two out soon hopefully)
