Angel Dust's leg bounced up and down as he sat at the bar table, complaining to a certain cat like sinner about his day at work. He didn't even know what he was nervous about, but something had seemed off with his terrible excuse of a boss. Husk noticed something wrong with the spider, but hadn't said anything at first.

Eventually Husk gave up on trying to ignore Angel's anxiousness and decided to say something. "Alright, what's wrong?" The cat like bartender sighed exasperatedly.

"Nothing, it's nothing," Angel shrugged, avoiding eye contact with his partner, who seemed to almost know everything. Husk always knew when something was wrong with the spider, and though Angel seemed annoyed by it, he actually loved it when the other sinner cared enough to ask what was really upsetting him.

"C'mon, I know it's something," Husk said, coaxing the arachnid to open up as best he could. Husk took all four of Angel's hands in his own and brought his face to meet his. "Angel... You can tell me anything, love."

Angel caught himself smiling at the touch. "It's... Just that something seems... worse... with Val. I-I don't know what it his, but he's been acting... worse."

Husk raised an eyebrow and asked, "Worse?" He would have expected Val to act like even more of a jackass, but if something as bothering Angel, Husk was concerned as well.

"Yeah, he's been... more Val-like... I don't know. It's like he's been even more irritable, or something... I just-" Angel stuttered, flailing his hands around as if it would help him speak. Husk cut him off by grabbing his hands and placing them down on the bar counter.

"Hey," Husk spoke softly, trying to calm down the frantic spider. "I'm sure it's not as bad as you think, but we can get through this." Husk smiled sweetly at the other, kissing him on his temple and placing his hand on the other's cheek.

Angel felt a grin creeping across his face, but it quickly faded away. "You don't have to get involved in this. I-I'll be fine." Angel pushed Husk's hand away and stood up.

"Angel..." Husk stood up and went around the bar to meet the other. "We're in this together, whether you like it or not, I'm gonna be right here."

Angel stared at the cat like sinner for a moment before tearing his gaze away. "I know... but I-" He stopped mid sentence and turned away to go up the stairs. Husk's ears dropped and he looked toward the spider sadly. Angel didn't look back at Husk as he went up to his room, but he could feel the hurt he had just caused the one person who was always there for him. He felt terrible.

Husk knew that Angel was one to keep his problems to himself, but it still hurt to see him like this. He went up stairs and knocked softly on the door. "Angel... Please. I just want to talk," Husk sighed, opening the door a crack and seeing the spider curled up on his bed while he pet Fat Nuggets.

Angel's head perked up and he wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. "Husk I-I'm gonna be fine. I don't need to burden you with my problems," Angel sniffled, sitting up as Husk joined him on the side of the bed.

Husk cupped Angel's face in his hands, bringing his eyes to meet his. "Nothing you do could ever be a burden to me, love. Listen, I am going to be right here no matter what and I don't care how much you want to do this alone because we are in this together. You don't have to hide how you feel anymore." Husk wished that he could make understand more, but he was terrible with words

Angel felt so overwhelmed with emotions. He couldn't remember the last time someone had cared so much, especially someone who he loved so much. "Th-thanks Whiskers," the spider smiled at the other. "I'm sorry for walking away... I-I know you just wanted to help."

"That's alright, love," Husk sighed, kissing Angel softly on his forehead. "I'm always going to be here for you." The winged sinner pulled the other into a tight embrace. Angel sank into Husk's arms, his heart melting at the touch.

"I'll be there for you too," Angel spoke quietly, laughing softly. He meant every word of what he said.

"Thanks Legs. Do you wanna tell me what happened with Val?"

Angel shifted uncomfortably and didn't say anything but instead shook his head. Husk smiled sweetly. "Hmm," he hummed. "What do you wanna do instead?"
The spider thought for a moment before mumbling, "Can we just... stay here."

"Of course Angel. If you ever want to talk about it, I'm right here and I'll help you through it." Angel hummed tiredly and rested his head in the crook of the cat's neck.

(Damn this was so hard to write. I was going to write this as an Angel dies story but kinda messed it up and went along with it and then banged my head against the wall for three hours so I could get an idea for something that happens after the third fucking paragraph. Well after this useless vent that no one cares about um... I will take any suggestions that are in my motivational power to do)
