Husk rested his head on his hand, leaning on the bar counter tiredly. He was exhausted out of his mind, but he wanted to wait for Angel to come back home. He was 95% sure he was sick, but he hadn't said anything about it all day, despite Alastor's annoying comments and Niffty's pointless observations. The door swung open and the familiar clack of heels echoed off the walls.

"Hey Angel," Husk said in a scratchy voice. His throat was very sore and screamed at him every time he talked.

"Hi, Husk... Baby ya sound like shit," Angel said, cupping the other's cheeks in his hands and checking every angle of his face as if it would give him an answer. "Are ya okay?"

"I'm fine," Husk grumbled, shoving the spider's hands away. He coughed dryly, which ended up feeling like someone was clawing the inside of his throat off.

"No you're not," Angel snapped with aggressive care. "You're burning up, so you're gonna let me take care of ya this time."

"I'm fine," Husk groaned, grabbing himself a drink which Angel promptly snatched away and took a drink himself. Husk really didn't want to worry the spider, but he knew there was no stopping Angel when he made up his mind.

"Too bad. Ya coming with me now," Angel huffed stubbornly as he grabbed the cat by the arm and dragged him upstairs. "Lay down," the spider ordered, pointing to the bed. Husk rolled his eyes, but obeyed after he broke out into another throat ripping cough.

"Angel... I said I'm okay," Husk called to the other sinner who had made his way into the bathroom.

"I know, but you aren't and you're gonna let me repay ya for taking care of me last time," the spider hollered in response. He emerged from the bathroom and leaned on the doorway, checking the labels of a few different bottles of pills he had in his hand. "Let me show ya how much I love ya." Angel smiled softly, but averted his eyes from Husk as a light blush dusted his face. He shook his head and decided on one of the medicines, setting it down on the bedside table and heading out of the room to go get the cat a glass of water.

Husk smiled at what the other had said. He loved Angel so much, and it was adorable how big a deal he was making out of this, just to show he cared. Angel came back, handing the winged sinner the water as he sat on the side of the bed next to the other. He began to scratch behind Husk's ear, making the cat purr softly.

"Hmm..." Husk hummed, nuzzling Angel's hand, making him giggle. "Thank you love," Husk sighed, his voice deep and rough.

"It's nothing." Angel felt his face turn red. Husk did so much for him, but every once in a while, Angel loved to do something for him.

"It's something," Husk coughed. It might not have seemed like a lot to Angel, but anything the spider did for him, meant the world to him.

Angel sat by the other sinner's side until he fell asleep, but even as soft snores could be heard from Husk, Angel stayed there anyways, keeping watch over his love.
