Boundaries

Zac wake up the next morning and noticed Fatima tucked under him!

Zac, "Man this girl! I got to go home before we both do something we'll regret!"

Zac got up and fixed Fatima some breakfast and then he went to put his bags in his truck before going for his run! Fatima woke up at 6 looking for Zac! She seen her plate on the stove so she decided to eat it! She couldn't believe he left without saying anything! She went to go shower and when she stepped out in her work clothes, Zac was coming through the door!

Zac, "Good Morning!"

Fatima, "Good Morning! I thought you left?"

Zac, "Nah I always go running at 4 in the morning and then I hit the gym! Did you eat?"

Fatima, "I did and it was good thank you!"

Zac, "Fatima what time did you come up here last night?"

Fatima, "About 2 this morning! I wanted to talk but you were sleep so I slid in the chair with you and ended up going right back to sleep! I'm sorry! I know you were respecting my space and you provided boundaries before hand and I still overstepped!" *dropping her head*

Zac lifted her chin, "Look T, I've always thought you were beautiful and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't attracted to you but I'm still healing and you haven't begun to heal, this cannot happen again or else it won't be good for me or you! I won't be staying over here anymore!"

Fatima, "Zac I'm sorry okay but please don't leave me!"

Zac, "Fatima I'm not leaving you! I'll still be around and I'll still see you, I just can't spend the night anymore, I hope you understand!"

Fatima, "I don't but I'll respect it!"

Zac kissed Fatima on the forehead before leaving!

Fatima was all in her head! She wanted him around but she also knew she needed to start healing! She needed to forgive Ian and move on! Most importantly she needed to get back to herself! She placed her shoes on and grabbed her brief case before walking downstairs! She walked out the door and headed for work! It took her 20 minutes to arrive and she was still 15 minutes early! She walked up to the door and scanned her badge before going to her office! She checked her email, filed some paperwork and scheduled some home visits to follow up with different Families on her case load!

*KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK*

Fatima, "Come in!"

Jana, Lori, and Angela, "Good Morning Girl!"

Fatima, "Good Morning Ladies! How was your night?"

Jana, "Mine was great!"

Angela, "Mine was good!"

Lori, "I can't complain but we brought you some breakfast!"

Fatima, "Thank you I'll save it in case I get hungry! Zac cooked me breakfast this morning!"

Jana, "Zac?"

Fatima, "Yes Zac!"

Lori, "Did he spend the night girl?"

Fatima, "Yes why?"

Angela, "Don't tell me you slept with him?"

Fatima, "Actually no! I got some news about Ian and he comforted me, protected me and made me feel safe! I can say I couldn't sleep without him though! He kept taking me back to my room! He said he would never take advantage of me and I still ended up climbing in the chair with him about 2 this morning! Y'all I think I pushed him away with my trauma!"

Lori, "Girl he's a trauma counselor, he's not new to this! I'm sure you didn't push him away! If anything you scared yourself!"

Jana, "Exactly because what you just described is him being careful with you! Not trying to leave you!"

Angela, "You know you aren't ready yet and that's okay but you can't string him along! He's trying to guard his feelings just like you're guarding yours! He's a good man Fatima!"

Fatima, "I know he is! I just can't help that I feel safe around him! It's like I want to be under him all the damn time!"

Lori, "See No T don't do that because then you'll just end up scaring him and you really don't want that!"

Jana, "Right just respect his boundaries like he respects yours!"

Angela, "And stop tryna give him the nookie cause I know you!"

They started laughing and resumed doing their work!

Zac had just made it back to the office and the guys were waiting!

Meech, "How's T?"

Zac, "She's fine! I stayed with her last night!"

Jake, "How did that go?"

Zac, "She was restless! Up and down most of the night and then she ended up on the chair under me this morning!"

Tony, "I already know you didn't take it there with her!"

Zac, "No I didn't! She's not ready and I can't say that I am either! I did tell her that we have to respect each other's boundaries and that I wouldn't be staying over any more!"

Meech, "How did she take that?"

Zac, "She practically threw a tantrum but I reassured her that she'll see me! I just won't be spending the night!"

Jake, "Well I think you handled it well!"

Zac, "Hell yeah I did but she does know I'm attracted to her! I just need for her to heal right now! Who knows exactly what the future holds?"

The guys finished talking and then went to take a look at the progress on the recreation center! They had been working real hard to get this project off the ground and they didn't want or need any hiccups!
