It's been a week since his parents' death anniversary, and everything seemed to be working well except for Avivansh being busier than ever with his work. Although he stayed at home, his attention was always on his laptop—his second wife. I decided to ignore him over the last few days, going to bed early and waking up late, trying my best to avoid the room when he was inside or awake.

But my efforts seemed to fail because he didn’t care. He didn’t call for me or try to wake me up. My fingers clenched around the thread Dadisa had given me to tie around his wrist.

I entered the room to find him engrossed in his laptop again, but this time, my anklet caught his attention. He moved his gaze from his laptop to me and smiled, but I didn't return it. I walked towards the couch where he was sitting and sat beside him. He shifted his focus back to his laptop, his hands working on the keyboard.

Without asking, I held his hand and pulled it towards me. He stared at me blankly as I began to tie the thread around his wrist. "Dadisa said to do this, and you can't deny her," I said firmly, shutting him up before he could even try to protest.

His eyes softened slightly as he watched me tie the thread. "Avni, you know I don't believe in these things," he began, but his voice lacked conviction.

"Maybe," I replied, tightening the knot, "but this is important to Dadisa. And to me."

As I tied the thread, I felt a mix of tenderness and determination. "There," I said softly, fastening the knot securely. "It's for your protection and well-being."

He looked at me, a hint of reluctance in his eyes, but then he sighed and smiled I smiled back at "Okay now I have to go, everyone is waiting for me", I stood up to leave. I turned on my heels to walk away. When he held my wrist pulling me to him almost causing me fall straight to his lap as he encircled his arms  around my waist.

"Apke busy schedule me Thora time mujhey mil sakta h biwi ji?" (The audacity)

[Can I have some time from your busy schedule]

He muttered putting his chin on the Crook of my neck slowly inhaling and exhaling I can feel his breath faning on my skin.

"Are ye to rahi apki biwi samne Aapke,"

[You are wife is infront of you]

I pointed to his laptop, but he shook his head. "Seems like I have upseted you a little " he whispered, his lips grazing my skin. I lost the ability to protest and gave in, leaning into his embrace. (Hmm! A little).

"You go and be busy with your actual wife, she might get upset a lot" I wiggled in his hold but his hold began tighter.

He sighed and closed his laptop, finally giving me his full attention. "I’ve been so caught up in work... I didn’t realize how distant I’ve been."
