It had been a hectic day, as I spent my whole day in the conference room. It was almost evening as I was about to leave for home.

Nowadays, all I want is to wrap my work as soon as possible and run home, to be around her, to listen about her day, to have dinner together, to our late-night conversation. I can't help but think about her every time.

Us sitting on the cozy comfort of our couch having our precious coffee time, her smiling throughout the conversation and making a pout when she doesn't understand anything, and then explaining everything from the start, me tugging her hair strands behind her ears as she talks, and boy, I don't remember any of her words as I was too lost in admiring my beautiful wife.

A smile appeared on my face as I thought about her, but it didn't last long as I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," I shouted without my gaze fixed on my laptop.

"Where's your phone?" Samarth stormed into my cabin.

"What happened?" I asked, absorbing a concerned look from his face.

"Where's your phone?" he asked as he sat on the chair before my table.

"It's with me," I raked my hand in my suit and took it out.

"Check it," he said, an unusual grin on his face.

"What is it?" I frowned. "If it's one of your stupid memes, I'll make you regret it."

As I opened my phone, my eyes fell on several missed calls from Aana. Why did she call me so many times? Is she alright? I stood up from my seat, searching through her guard's number on my screen.

"She is fine. Sit down," seeing my urgency, he replied.

I looked at him in confusion. "She called me because you weren't picking up," he added.

"She seemed a little off," he said further, "I think she might or might not be angry at you."

"Why would she be mad at me? Nothing happened between us," I replied, trying to find the reason for her mood.

"Toh ho jayega, pakka tune hi kuchh kiya hoga," Samarth said.

(Then it will happen! You must have did something)

"No, everything was fine. In the morning, we were talking while we got ready, and she was happy about the date today. Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit," I checked my phone for the time, and realisation hit me hard.
