Wei Wuxian and Nie Huaisang were walking back to the ancestral hall after getting changed. They were still sobering up to what happened earlier. I mean, they were dragged to the ancestral hall all drunk and just woken up.
"Hey, Xian Didi, aren't you a little curious to what really happened to our parents when they were young?"
"Why would I be? Aren't I the protagonist of the story?"
"Stfu, now's not the time. Anyways. Aren't you?"
Wei Wuxian blinked as he looked at the sky. "I mean, I get told off until my ear goes deaf on how I'm so much like my mom. Like damn dude, they died before I could even register memories. How would I know?"
"I know, right? I thought Lan's are supposed to be like- smart?" "They are." "Then why the fuck-"
"What are you talking about?" Jin Zixuan grabbed Nie Huaisang's shoulder, pulling him back with a smile as the senior squealed. "Eek!"
"Sang-ge and I were talking about how Lans are technically kind of dumb." Wei Wuxian informed.
Jin Zixuan nodded as he too was buried in the thought. "I mean, touche. There are times when they do ask questions on repeat."
Nie Huaisang sighed as he looked at the two juniors dead panned. "Are we going to ignore the fact that Xichen-ge completely and utterly disrespected his uncle?"
Wei Wuxian shrugged. "He gave him all of his respect, which is none left."
Jin Zixuan nodded. "Shit, if I had an uncle like that, I would've killed myself."
Nie Huaisang sighed. "Everything's been a mess since we came here. Do any of us carry bad luck or something?"
There was silence in the air until two heads turned to look at Wei Wuxian, who had a grin of annoyance.
"Now you two are just being mean."
"You are so unlucky."
"4."
"Shut up!" Wei Wuxian ran before them as he shouted. "I'm being bullied here!"
"XianXian! We're sorry!"
"I forgot that he knew he was unlucky." Jin Zixuan smiled as he followed behind.
Nie Huaisang sighed as he too walked. "He jokes about his trauma, and yet he gets annoyed when we joke about him.
"Womp womp."
Wei Wuxian, who was walking faster than the other two, came across Xue Yang, who was shitting on top of one of those Lan stone pillars.
"Fucking God, Yang!"
Xue Yang wiped his ass on the stone before jumping down and fixing his trousers.
"Just revenge." He stuck his tongue out.
Wei Wuxian grabbed a stick and was ready to stuff it up Xue Yang's ass, but Wen Xu came and smacked the boy on his head.
"If you wanted to get revenge, you should've shat on Lan Qiren's bed."
"Aiyaa! They deserve to see it sooner!"
"Xu-ge! Look, I'm sorry that I dragged you into this mess. We were supposed to be just having fun—"
"Ying-ah. I'm not mad, hm? I'm actually kind of glad to the point I've got a plan."
"What?"
"Father wanted to host an archery competition by next year. I wanted to gather some intel on what clans should we give special treatment, but it looks like I've found someone to especially shit on."
