Everyone was panting heavily while the vans engine was smoking. I look up and look around at the others and they seemed fine.

Y/n: Everyone alright?

Yaz: Is everyone-

Yaz opens the door and gets out of the car followed by Sammy while the rest of us get out. Kenji, Darius and I walk to the front of the car where the smoke was and when I opened the hood I saw the engine was in pieces and engulfed in smoke so I close the hood and turn to the other boys.

Y/n: Yeah, the engine is fucked. We're gonna have to go the rest of the way on foot.

I turn back to Yaz and Sammy and I saw Yaz was extremely angry.

Yaz: We're not alright! We're in the middle of the jungle with a monster dinosaur out there and you...

Brooklyn: Destroyed our only way to call for help and lied about it! I told you guys!

Darius: So, you did take Brooklyn's phone? Why? What were you doing?

Brooklyn: Probably trying to erase my video of her taking those samples from the Sinoceratops. And you knew about the Indominus Rex because you were snooping around Dr. Wu's office when I ran into you! I knew it!

Sammy: I didn't mean to destroy the phone. I fell on it when the zipline came down and-

Y/n: But you still stole it? You had it that whole time and didn't tell us?

Darius: Hold up, what were you doing in Dr. Wu's office, Brooklyn?

Brooklyn: I.. It doesn't matter. I didn't break our only way to call for help and then lie about it! This is not my fault, this is her fault!

Sammy: I'm here to spy! For a company called Mantah Corp.

Y/n: You're with Mantah?

Darius: They're a bioengineering company, big rivals with Masrani. They tried to make dinosaurs too but Wu beat them to it.

Ben: You doomed us all for some lousy company?!

Sammy: Our ranch was in trouble so my folks had to borrow alot of money from some shady people. We didn't know they were fronting for Mantah Corp. They said we'd loose everything if I didn't spy for them.

Y/n: Didn't think to take out a fucking loan?

Sammy: When Brooklyn caught on I got scared and... everything went wrong. This is the last thing I wanted to happen.

Yaz: *scoffs* What, to be stuck next to a broken van on killer dinosaur island? Me too. Was it all a lie? Wanting to be friends? Pretending you cared... You just needed someone to hide what you were doing. Tell me I'm wrong.

Yaz walks off so I decide to follow her but Sammy did aswell. I managed to catch up to Yaz and stop her.

Sammy: You are wrong! I just didn't know how to tell you-

Sammy put her hand on Yaz's shoulder but Yaz shrugged it off.

Yaz: Don't touch me! Go away, Sammy.

Sammy was on the brink of tears before running off behind the van while Yaz and I walked back to the group. I placed my hand on her shoulder and thankfully she didn't push it off like she did Sammy. Bumpy tried to jump up to Yaz but she clearly wasn't in the mood.

Y/n: Bumpy, not a good time.

Ben: Despite the terrible situation we're in-

Y/n: Ben, just say it's shit. Because it is.
