The Final Test

Y/n POV

The others were all getting breakfast after waking up. I decided to hide Y/n in my room so Kon and the BRADs don't try to use him as a toy for their demonstration. I was in the main room, eating breakfast while looking out the large window and into the vast jungle infront of us.

Ben: Still surprised you managed to sneak the Indoraptor out of the med bay all the way here without any BRADs noticing you.

Y/n: I'm glad I got Y/n out. I don't trust Kon with him.

Ben: That's fair. He doesn't seem to trust you very much, either.

Y/n: Don't want his trust anyway. I just hope he's unaware of Rudy.

Ben: You named it?

Y/n: Can't keep calling it "the giant Baryonyx" forever can I?

Ben: I guess not. I'm gonna grab some more food.

Y/n: Alright, Ben.

Ben stood up and walked away while I remained at the seat and continued staring out the window. Once I had finished, I stood up and placed my plate at the table filled with other dirty dishes while Ben, Brooklyn and Darius walked out of the living area, leaving myself, Yaz and Sammy inside so I decided to go over to them as they were about to start playing cards.

Y/n: Hey, girls. What're you up to?

Sammy: 'Bout to play last card. Want in?

Y/n: Sure, might as well.

Yaz started dishing out the cards to the three of us while sitting on the couch, since she and Sammy were on the couch I just decided to pull a chair over and sit on that. I had gotten a pair of six of diamonds, a seven of hearts, an ace of hearts, a nine of clubs and two tens of diamonds. Sammy went first and placed a four of clubs so I placed both my nines after her, and when Yaz's turn came around she placed a pair of twos, one club and one diamond. 

Sammy: Oh come on, Yaz!

Yaz: Sorry, Sammy, but I'm not losing.

Sammy didn't have any cards to shoot at me so she was forced to pick up four cards. I smirked before placing both my tens of diamonds which sent it back to my turn before putting down my twos.

Y/n: I used to play last card with my dad and Barry alot. I know what I'm doing.

Yaz groaned by was followed by a giggle before she picked up her cards just as Kenji walked in with a box full of stuff.

Y/n: Whatcha got in the box, Kenj?

Kenji: It's some stuff for my date with Brooklyn.

Yaz: I'm sorry did you say date?

Kenji: Yeah, but I gotta hurry. I still gotta set up dads cocktail party.

Yaz: We'll help. Our lives aren't in danger for a change and-

Sammy: I'd do it even if they were! 

Sammy stood up and ran over to Kenji before taking the box off his hands and walking around.

Sammy: Ok, so I'm thinkin' rose petals everywhere.

Yaz: Brooklyn's not a rose petal kind of girl. I think we should do a picnic.

Sammy: Picnic? That's just lunch on a blanket. No, we need candles and desserts and- 

Kenji: Hey, hey! Simple. Brooklyn likes simple. Only what's inside this box, ok?

Yaz: Of course, Kenj. It's your date.

Sammy: Ooh this is gonna be great!

Yaz and Sammy then went around with the box, planning things out while Kenji walked over to  me since I was still sat on the couch.
