The Core

Y/n POV

I was at the top of the waterfall with Omega/Y/n, just chilling with each other and thinking about what my dad might be doing. I sigh heavily before taking out my wallet and taking out the picture of my mother and I which made me smile while I was leaning on Omega/Y/n's leg while he was drinking the water that was flowing out of the main drain that fueled the waterfall.

Y/n: Miss you, mum.

I rub my thumb against the picture before putting the picture away and the wallet in my back pocket again. I look down at the watering hole and saw Pierce, drinking with Firecracker while Ben was playing with Angel and Rebel making me chuckle until I saw Yaz come out of the forest, doing some laps for fun. I smile at her before turning to my Indoraptor who finished drinking and turned to me.

Y/n: I think I'm gonna tell Yaz how I feel. I think I've been putting it off and contemplating too long.

Omega/Y/n clicked lightly while standing up, causing me to fall off from his leg making me fall onto the ground.

Y/n: Ok, that was a dick move.

He snorted like he knew what he was doing before he nudged me to sit up but when I did, he bit down on the back of my shirt and picked me up before walking to the edge of the waterfall and standing on his hind legs, practically dangling me over the edge.

Y/n: No, no, no! Y/n, bring me back in!

I grabbed onto his neck and held on for extra support while he was still dangling me over the edge of the cliff.

Y/n: You bitch, put me back on the ground!

I felt him start swaying me side to side which caused me to lose my grip on his neck. I was getting worried he'd drop me but he brought me back in and put me back down on the ground before laying next to the edge of the waterfall so I go and sit next to him.

Y/n: Asshole.

He then stood up and pushed me back with his snout before pushing me to the ground until he laid down while pinning me to the ground with his head that was now resting on my chest. I chuckle while stroking his head gently.

Y/n: You can't wait to get back home, can't you?

He lightly bellowed while keeping his head on my chest. I chuckle again while still stroking his head until I saw Yaz climb up the rope to the top of the rope and walking over to me so I lifted Omega/Y/n's head slightly and slip out from under it before putting it back on the ground as Yaz sat down next to me.

Y/n: Hey, Yaz. You need something?

Yaz: Yeah, I just wanted to talk with you.

Y/n: Something wrong?

Yaz: No, no, nothing's wrong. I just wanted to say, I-

Ben: *distant* Wait, Brooklyn, Sammy, Darius, where are you going?

Yaz and I turn to the rope and see Darius, Brooklyn and Sammy climb up to the top soon followed by Ben. I stand up as did Yaz as the four continued approaching.

Y/n: Got it set up?

Brooklyn: Yep, drone's patrolling the entire island so when the Kons come back, we'll get notified as soon as they're seen.

Y/n: Sweet. Me and this dumbass were playing around until he decided to try toss me off the waterfall.

Omega/Y/n bellows lightly as a smirk grows on his face prompting me to roll my eyes.

Y/n: Kinda disappointed no one will know what we've done here. No one'll really appreciate it other than us.

Brooklyn: Time to change that.
