Y/n POV
Owen: Hey, wake up. We're here.
I felt dad gently shaking me awake, prompting me to groan and my eyes to flutter open as I was greeted by the sight of a van in a clearing infront of a lake that wasn't too far away which was also dimly lit by the setting sun that was nearly gone behind the mountains completely. I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out from the car before looking around at the scenery and I could tell we were definitely in Sierra Nevada.
Y/n: Honestly, brings back memories of the bungalow back on Nublar.
Owen: I've been meaning to get a place built but the money for the materials has been a little hard to get.
Y/n: I guess I could find work to try help.
Owen: No, you're gonna be resting since you've just had surgery to get a bullet out of your side and your sprained shoulder. You'll be resting until you're back to full strength.
I groan in annoyance, I never liked doing nothing, ever since working at the raptor paddock with dad I've always been active and doing something. If I wasn't doing anything to help I'd just feel like deadweight, and with the large goal of getting enough money to build a new house, I'd have to wait a while before I could actually be able to do anything.
Dad and I both walked inside the van and it wasn't all that spacious but it was still good for two people. I saw dad had set up a second bed in the van by the back with all of my old stuff from Nublar which made me smile, making me think he never lost hope of thinking I was alive. I walk over to it and slowly lay down as my recent surgery wound was stinging and my arm was lightly aching from the pressure that was on it. I lay down in my bed, still tired and extremely out of energy from the many months running from dinosaurs.
Owen: You know, some time tomorrow I'd like to hear some of your crazy stories from your time surviving on Nublar and that other island.
Y/n: That's if I wake up tomorrow morning. I haven't had a comfortable bed to sleep on for months.
I rest my head on the pillow and I felt the familiar, soft feeling of a clean, fresh pillow which made me melt into the bed. I closed my eyes and exhaled deeply, more than satisfied with having a comfortable bed again.
[time skip]
When I woke up, it was from the sun shining through the window and directly into my eyes. I groan in annoyance before getting up from my bed, my body aching a bit but I had the best sleep in a long time.
Owen: Morning, Y/n.
Y/n: *yawn* Hey, dad. How long did I sleep for?
Owen: Around 13 hours. It's eleven right now.
Y/n: Shit, haven't slept that long in ages.
Owen: How long did you guys usually sleep back on Nublar?
Y/n: Three or four hours. We'd stay up until, like, five then go to sleep until eight or nine. I'm gonna need to fix my sleep schedule.
Owen: Want some bacon sandwiches? I was meaning to get eggs but forgot about it when Brand offered me the option to go and find you and the others.
Y/n: Yeah I'll take some if that's alright.
Owen: *smirks* I'll get cookin' then.
I smile as dad went to cook me some breakfast while I decided to grab my phone and sit on my bed where I saw some unread messages from the new group chat we all made. It wasn't anything too interesting, just everyone talking about hwo good their sleeps were so I decided to browse twitter to see what significant events we missed while stranded on Nublar. Apparently Deadpool became a movie which caught my interest but I decided to put it aside for now and go onto the group chat to see what was going on.
