Last Day of Camp

Y/n POV

The alarms continue to ring so Yaz and I got up before seeing Brooklyn and Sammy run to Darius and Kenji so Yaz and I went to catch up to them but Yaz wasn't very fast because of her sprained ankle. We finally arrived at the others who were talking about running to the south dock.

Sammy: Are we sure that's the best way to get there?

Yaz: I'm fine. I've competed with a torn ACL. You should be way more worried about Ben and Bumpy.

Ben: What we should all be worried about is catching a boat out of here and, naturally, we have a problem.

Ben took out a map and laid it on the concrete wall next to us while we all huddled around him.

Ben: We're here, the docks are all the way at the southern tip of the island. Even if we ran at peak Yaz speed, there's no way we'd be able to make the last boat out.

Sammy: You don't know that.

Ben: Yes, I do. I memorized the evacuation plan on the ferry ride over.

Darius: Ok so, we need another way. Um, can we use the kayaks somehow? Or send someone to tell the ferry people to wait?

Brooklyn: Or make a few jetpacks, real quick? Oh, we should befriend a unicorn! Face it. It's hopeless.

Monorail: We will be arriving at main street your destination for fine dining and shopping at Jurassic World.

Y/n: There's no way.

We all look at the monorail track and saw the monorail driving over the lagoon.

Y/n: Nicely done, universe.

Darius: Hurry!

We all began running but Yaz the slowest in the group which was a weird change and since she'd only make her ankle worse, I went back to her and had her arm around my neck to help her run. We ran up the stairs and went out to find the others crouched down behind a wall. Yaz takes her arm off from around me before I go to check around the corner to see a Carnotaurus which made me quickly move back to the group.

Y/n: *whisper* You've gotta be shitting me.

Darius peaked around the corner before looking back at us.

Darius: *whisper* Move!

The two of us run out from behind the corner while the Carno was distracted before hiding by the stairs that lead up to the monorail but we saw the others didn't follow us so I motion for them to follow us quickly but when they stepped out they quickly went back into hiding before the sound of a metal barrel was heard hitting the ground.

We both saw the Carnotaurus start slowly walking toward them but I quickly grabbed a rock and threw it at the metal pole holding the station up and that seemed to have caught its attention. Darius and I run out and around to the stairs before motioning to the others to come over to us.

We all slowly walked up the stairs but I saw the Carno start walking near us and when I turned I grabbed Yaz which prompted her to stop and look at the Carno which was right next to us. Once it had walked away, we continued crawling up the stairs but when Keni and Brooklyn got to the top the Carno walked infront of the stairs but wasn't looking in our direction which caused us all to freeze in fear.

Monorail: Welcome to the Jurassic World Lagoon.

The Carno turned and saw us on the stairs before roaring out loudly at us which made us all stand and start running up the stairs. Sammy, Darius and I made it to the very top of the station and ran to the doors but the station shook which made me look at the stairs where I saw Yaz slowly backing away from the Carno as it was trying to snap at her while laying on the stairs.
