Stay on Mission

Y/n POV

We ran through the jungle, as fast as we could, away from the lab and the InGen mercenaries but Darius and Yaz were faster than me because I was being slowed by my injuries, mainly the bullet. Yaz and Darius both jumped over a log while I crawled under it before getting back up onto my feet and panting heavily.

Y/n: *panting* Guys, I can't keep going. I'm too slow.

Both Darius and Yaz stopped and came over to me, also catching their breaths until we saw the light of torches behind us before they suddenly went out, prompting 

Y/n: *whisper* Where'd they go?

Hawkes: I know you can hear me! Just put the laptop down and nothing bad will happen! I won't come any closer, you have my word!

We heard bushes rustling and footsteps coming in our general direction. We all stayed back to back while Darius held onto the laptop firmly while I raised my right arm to protect the others and make myself a bigger target. I looked to the left and saw a mercenary exit in a clearing not too far from us but he was greeted by Omega/Y/n who chomped down on him and tore him in half before eating the mercenary's top half and walking away into the jungle.

Hawkes: We'll be loading up the chopper in the valley, meaning you've got two hours to bring the laptop to us if you wanna see your friend again!

We looked at each other before running in the opposite direction and toward the boat to try come up with a plan. I sigh in frustration at the fact destroying the laptop was now out of the question before grunting in pain at the bullet moving around in my liver from running so much but I ignored the pain from the bullet as much as I could and did my best to keep up with Darius and Yaz. After much running we found the others at the same clearing we found the boat the night the Scorpious attacked so we all ran to each other and caught each other in a group hug.

Darius: We thought you guys left on the chopper!

Kenji: Hold up. Where's Brooklyn?

Darius, Yaz and I looked down at the ground and I could tell they didn't have the heart to tell Kenji so I decided to.

Y/n: Some mercenaries got her. Wu came back to Nublar for his research and a sample of my raptor for something. We grabbed the laptop with his research but they got her and are holding her as a hostage so we had to run.

Kenji: You left her?!

Darius: It's what she wanted! We just need a plan to get her back.

Kenji: Give them the stupid laptop, plan done!

Y/n: It's not that simple. He needs his research and a sample of Y/n to make more hybrids, presumably more Indoraptor's, to be used as weapons.

Ben: I hate to say it, but we don't have much of a choice. We have to give him the laptop.

Darius: Or we could delete all his files! Once we do that, we can trade it in, we get Brooklyn, Wu get's nothing and we can all get off this island safely!

Y/n: Fine by me, but if I get the chance to get to Wu, face to face, I'm going to kill him. We'll get back to camp and start making a plan from there.

I turned around and started walking in the direction of camp with only one goal in my head; do everything in my power to ruin Wu's plans, whether he survives or not. I heard the others join me in walking back to the camp to formulate a full plan and thankfully it was only around a ten minute walk until we made it back to camp. Yaz grabbed the laptop from Darius and climbed up the ladder, followed by Sammy and I before she placed it on the table and booted it up and thankfully, it turned on.
