The Leap

Y/n POV

Ben, Darius and I were trying to think of a way to help the dinosaurs from Kon since we destroyed the chips but all our ideas have come out up as duds.

Ben: Hm. We could make disguises for all the dinosaurs.

Darius: Ok, I know I said no idea is a bad one.

Y/n: Ben, how the hell are we gonna make two damn T-rexes look like they aren't T-rexes?

Then, Yaz and Sammy came out of the kitchen with cups of cocoa. Yaz hands me one and sits on the couch with me with her own cup of cocoa as Brooklyn came over.

Brooklyn: Finally got these babies clean!  

She said while motioning to her shoes. Darius, Ben and I look at each other before looking back at Brooklyn.

Y/n: They look the same to us.

Sammy: I can tell they're cleaner.

Sammy and Brooklyn then sat down on the couch or armrest with their own cups of cocoa.

Yaz: So, what were you boys thinking about?

Darius: We may have destroyed Mr. Kons way of making dino control chips, but he's always one step ahead of us. We need a way to protect them from whatever he's got up his sleeve.

Ben: But apparently disguises are off the table.

Yaz: Can't imagine why.

Sammy: This is so nice. All of us warm and cozy, sharing a cup of cocoa together. Too bad we can't do this for the dinos. It'd be alot easier to keep 'em safe if they were all snuggled in one place.

Y/n: I don't think Y/n would like cocoa.

At the mention of his name, Omega/Y/n appeared behind us which gave Yaz a little fright but she calmed down and rubbed the side of his head before the Indoraptor laid between the couch and the chair Sammy was on.

Darius: Yeah.

I saw an idea formulate in Darius' head so I quickly downed my cocoa and stood up with him before we all walked outside, except for Omega/Y/n who decided to stay in the cave. We all walked out and next to the waterfall before Darius started staring at it.

Darius: What was the one place on Nublar the dinosaurs all got along?

Sammy: The watering hole!

Darius: Exactly

Sammy: That's a great idea, Darius.

Yaz: Is there enough water, though?

Y/n: Not nearly enough.

Sammy: What if we fill a bunch of buckets with water?

Brooklyn: Maybe we could distract the dinos with food, instead?

Y/n: Nah, they'd fight over the food and try to kill each other.

Ben: One word, disguises.

I groan at Bens suggestion before turning around and seeing Darius looking at a strange rock at the other side of the watering hole. We all ran over to it and saw it was a drain which gave us all a similar idea.

Sammy: A drain!

Brooklyn: If we can plug it up, this whole area will fill up with water.

Yaz: Hello, watering hole!

Darius: Let's not celebrate yet. We still gotta make sure that it actually works.

Brooklyn: And we have no idea when Mr. Kon's coming back, so we have to act fast.
