Y/n POV

Y/n: There's no fuckin' way.

Everyone was looking in the distance at the column of smoke in the distance in disbelief.

Yaz: It can't be. Is it?

Brooklyn: I'm seeing it to.

Kenji: That is most def a bonfire.

Sammy: People. People!

Y/n: Someone actually got our SOS!

Darius: Let's go find them!

Everyone got down from the treehouse and grabbed a stick of some sort for protection while I took out my combat knife for protection while we all began running through the jungle. Yaz was still limping but not as bad as it was as it was. We continued to run through the jungle with Darius and Brooklyn occasionally going up into the trees to make sure we were still on track.

We kept running through the jungle until we stopped at a tree to catch our breaths while Darius climbed up the tree to check for the fire. Everyone was tired and out of breath after running for around half an hour at least. I looked at Yaz's makeshift ankle brace and saw it was getting loose so I stabbed my knife into the tree before kneeling down to check it.

Y/n: Ankle brace is coming loose.

Yaz: I thought I made sure to tighten it before we left.

Y/n: Probably not since we all took off without a second thought.

Darius then jumped down from the tree so I stood up and turned to him.

Y/n: So?

Darius: They're gone.

Sammy: Maybe we took too long and they gave up looking. Maybe we missed our chance.

We all looked at each other with sadness in our eyes but that was quickly put aside when a low growling was heard from the jungle which prompted us all to stand back to back. I quickly rip my knife from out of the tree and stood with the group.

Brooklyn: What was that?

Kenji: C-could be a really big Compy?

Y/n: Then it'd be one of my raptors. It's neither of those.

The bushes behind us began rustle and then a dinosaur ran out roaring which made everyone fall to the ground and look at the dinosaur and it was revealed to be a Ceratosaur that was hunting us. We all stand up and start running but I notice Yaz's ankle brace fell off and she was limping slower again because of the lack of support so I ran back to her and helped her run.

Yaz: Thanks.

Y/n: You can thank me by not dying!

We continue to run away from the Ceratosaur until Kenji ran straight into a tree and fell onto the ground which in turn caused Sammy to fall onto the ground. I hand Yaz off to Darius before stopping infront of Kenji and Sammy and turning directly to the Ceratosaur which put it to a stop infront of me.

Y/n: What're you waiting for!? Bitten off more than you can chew?!

The Cerato roared before going in for the kill but a flare exploded right next to it making it roar out before I was grabbed and thrown behind the log with the others. I saw another flare explode which caused the Cerato to roar before running away. I tried to look at who shot those flares but I could barely see anything through the smoke which made me start coughing.

Once the smoke had cleared, I saw three people in front of us. Two people with cameras and one with a gun in hand. They all turned to the group and I before the woman sighed in relief.
