Y/n POV

We were all sat around Mae as the leaves were used to cover the gash on her side but the bite mark on her forearm was exposed but we didn't have any leaves that could wrap around it tightly. I had a strange feeling like we were being watched from above so I look up to the roof of the cave and through the large crack where I saw a mossy rock next to some bushes so I shrugged off the feeling and turned back to Mae.

Sammy: *whisper* She's sleeping. The leaves we put over her wounds stopped the bleeding but I don't know how long that's gonna last. We gotta do something.

Yaz: *whisper* Ben says Kash has a phone. Let's get it, call for help and get out of here.

Darius: *whisper* But what about the dinosaurs? Now that Mae's injured, if we all leave, who's gonna protect them?

Y/n: *whisper* Darius, Mae needs serious medical attention or she could contract sepsis and die. Our only choice is that phone.

Ben: *whisper* Those leaves aren't exactly sterile. We're running out of time. Let's split up and try to find Kash.

Kenji: *whisper* Small problem, we don't know where he went.

Just then, a green light was approaching us which I knew it to be BRADs so we all hid in different places to avoid getting spotted. I hid with Darius, behind a rock and we watched as the BRADs got closer and closer to the group while scanning around the place until they stopped and turned to one another.

BRAD: New orders received.

The two then took off in two different directions while we all poked our heads out to watch them run off into the forest before going back to the others.

Yaz: *whisper* One of them could be heading to Kash.

Ben: *whisper* You guys go. I think there was a first aid kit in the snow glider.

Y/n: *whisper* I'll come with you. We'll get it and patch Mae up.

Yaz and Brooklyn went off after one BRAD and Sammy, Darius and Kenji went off to follow another BRAD while Ben and I ran off to the nearest airlock and once we got there, we started walking in the direction of the arctic biome but my mind kept drifting back to Yaz and her nightmares. The way she described it sounded like she has severe PTSD from Nublar which makes me concerned for her.

Ben: Hey, you alright?

Y/n: Huh? Oh, yeah. Fine.

Ben: You're worried about her, aren't you?

Y/n: Whaaat? You're crazy.

Ben just gave me a skeptical look prompting me to sigh and nod.

Y/n: Yeah, I am. The nightmares she's told me about... she has PTSD from Nublar, worse than the others by the sounds of it.

Ben: And you don't?

Y/n: I have nightmares of the island and my raptors for a personal reason, but she's got severe trauma from the island. It worries me.

Ben: Hey, it's natural to be worried about people you care about, especially if you love them.

Y/n: Shut up.

I felt my face start to heat up despite my attempts to control myself.

Ben: Just tell her. You can't keep them hidden for long.

Y/n: She's out of my league. Besides, I don't even know if she likes me back.

That prompted Ben to groan and facepalm while shaking his head while I just stared at him, confused.
