At Least...

Y/n POV

We all walked through the cave as the wind was howling from the entrance we came from but we found a light at the end of the cave which caught our attention. At the end of the cave, we were met with the sun and a clear, barren plains with nothing but cacti and small bushes.

Brooklyn: Ok, so definitely not Costa Rica.

Darius: It looks more... Australia?

Y/n: We couldn't have gone that far without drowning. Maybe southern Mexico?

I climbed over a rock with Yaz and looked out onto the flat, desert plains with the heat of the sun, beating down on us.

Brooklyn: So, we know where we aren't, any idea where we are?

Yaz: Nope. Just that we're stranded and alone. Again.

Darius: We just gotta assess the situation.

I gently pat Yaz on the shoulder while keeping my eye focused on the harsh plains that lay infront of us. It was strange because on the other side of the cave, where we came from, it was stormy and windy, now it's hot and clear skies which gave me a sneaking feeling like something wasn't quite right.

Ben: H-hey guys, look at that! Over there in the distance. Something shiny.

We all look out in the distance and sure enough something was indeed reflecting light in the distance.

Yaz: I see it!

Sammy: Looks like the sun is glinting off some sorta metal thingy?

Ben: Something metal could mean someone had to make it. We gotta go check it out.

Kenji: Hang on. You wanna go walking across a blazing hot desert just because you saw something shiny?

Darius: We have no idea what's out there.

Y/n: Worst case scenario this is Australia and we get chased by a blood thirsty Kangaroo or Emu.

I slide down the hill until I made it to the bottom with the others following behind me. We then venture out onto the open and scorching hot desert, going in the direction of that shiny object we saw in the distance but the further we went out, the more I got suspicious of something. If this was Australia or Mexico we would've gotten attacked by a wild animal. Something wasn't sitting quite right with me.

Yaz: 'Cause dinosaurs weren't enough, now we're washed up on some deserted island.

Ben: Well, at least it's a nice day?

Sammy: At least there aren't any mosquitos here.

Yaz: Yeah. At least we're not being tortured for eternity by vampires.

Y/n: At least the Indoraptor isn't on this strange place with us.

Kenji: Oh, I got one! At least it's like the beach but without an ocean.

Sammy: Ooh, that's a good one!

Yaz: Eh, needs more vampires.

For what felt like hours, we were walking across the vast open desert with the scorching heat of the sun beating down on us. We were occasionally doing more "at least" scenarios to keep our moral up but in truth, it wasn't really helping much. After so much walking, I felt the cool breeze of wind blowing behind me to cool me down but when I looked down at the ground I saw the sand moving forward extremely quickly. I turn around and saw a massive sand storm approaching us quickly.

Y/n: Guys! We've got incoming!

Brooklyn: A sand storm?

Sammy: What do we do?
