Safe Harbor

Y/n POV

The next day, the group and I changed into swim gear before returning to were we found the boat. I was wearing some spare cargo shorts without a shirt since I didn't own any swimwear. We were walking on a rock away from the foggy shore while looking at the boat.

Darius: Be careful, guys. Some unwanted visitors could've made themselves comfortable on the boat.

We all nod before getting into the water and since I had taken my bandage sling off before we left camp I didn't need to worry about it getting wet but I still had to be careful with my arm. Once we made it to the boat, Yaz got on and helped my up before we both walked onto the deck with the others.

I walk down one of the sides with Brooklyn where we come across claw marks from the raptors which put visible fear into Brooklyn before we continued on. We made it to the front of the yacht where we met up with Ben.

Ben: No sign of anyone.

Brooklyn: Or anything.

Y/n: I guess the raptors had their fill of hunters.

Ben, Brooklyn and I climbed up a ladder up to the bridge where we all saw some boards, covered and stained with blood which made all of us uncomfortable just at the sight. Darius and Sammy walked out of the bridge and looked at us.

Darius: The boat's nearly out of gas.

Y/n: So we've got this yacht but have no way to actually use it.

Darius: The northwest dock is just around that bend.

Darius, Brooklyn and I went down the ladder but I decided to walk off down one of the sides to see if I could find any gas we could use to fill up the boat but found nothing. I turn around and start walking back to the others but I bump into Yaz on accident but that tingling feeling was felt in my stomach again.

Y/n: Oh sorry, Yaz.

Yaz: It's fine. I was just about to go back and regroup with the others.

Yaz: I actually came after you when you walked off. C'mon, let's go.

Yaz and I walk back down the side walk until we came back to the others where we saw Kenji laughing in the crew cabins while Ben was walking to the back of the boat.

Ben: I'm gonna head back to shore.

Yaz: Guess the only question is, who's driving the boat?

Kenji: You mean, whose dad has a yacht club membership and just found this killer hat?

Kenji said while he was spinning a captains hat on his finger before he put it on his head.

Kenji: Captain Kenji at your service.

Kenji gave a half ass salute and started laughing before he passed Yaz and I but we decided to climb the ladder after him. Yaz went up before me and I followed while trying to climb while also not looking up since she was still above me. While climbing with only one hand, my grip slips and I was about to fall but someone caught my hand and when I look up I saw Yaz on the ground holding my hand to keep me from falling. She pulled me to the top and helped me up from the ground.

Y/n: Thanks for the save, Yaz.

Yaz: Anytime. Let's make sure the captain really knows how to drive a boat.

The both of us walked to the side of the bridge while Kenji started the yacht so Yaz and I began to guide him to the northwest dock. Once we got around the bend and to the dock, Yaz began to guide Kenji to the dock and we managed to dock it with only one bump into the dock.
