CHAPTER 23

Few weeks passed, parang sariwang-sariwa pa rin sa alaala namin ni Darcy yung mga pinagsamahan namin kasama si Lolo. It was never been easy for both of us and It will never be.

I was invited on a party for the celebration of Keircy's triumph. He always throw party everytime he won something, especially now that he became the SSLG president of AU.

Ang venue ay dito sa isa sa mga resort na pagmamay-ari nila Keircy. Nandito lahat ng member ng party list nila. I don't think Keircy invited Darcy here tonight kase hindi pa rin pumapasok si Darcy sa school, aside sa hindi rin member ng party list nila si Darcy bagkus nasa kabilang partido pa ito.

It kind of bothers my mind because unlike me, hindi s'ya madaling makacatch-up sa mga lessons. Yan ang palatandaan ni Tito para malaman nyang nagcuclub si Darcy, lumalagapak kase grades n'ya kase palaging absent para magclub.

Why would I end up in a place like this? When I'm still mourning? Well, Keircy told everyone that I will be coming. He begged me to come, of course I didn't agree at first because I didn't even like social activities such as parties, but he tricked me that Darcy will be also coming.

I didn't doubt that at first but then I realised that she wasn't even attending school. It's too late when I figured that out, I already agreed infront of the whole party. That's why I'm here, which is by the way against my will. Still, I'm a woman of my words.

"One more?" Keircy offered me another glass of drink but I refused it.

Kanina n'ya pa kase ako inaalok, tuwing nauubos nasa baso ko mag-aalok ulit s'ya. The whole entire place reeked with alcohol and you will also notice with just only one glance that a person was already drunk. Ang ibang bisita kase ay nakahiga na sa sahig dahil sa kalasingan.

If a killer barge in right now, everyone will be killed because no one is sober enough to fight back or call the police. The only still sober ones here right now is the DJ and me. These people are so vulnerable I wish bring a gu-

"Hello." a guy greeted me. He can't even look at me straight in the eye because his eyes was almost shutting, obviously, he is also drunk.

I completely ignored him and took a sip out of my champagne na nilagyan ulit ni Keircy kanina kahit sinabihan ko siyang wag na. Obviously, he too was now already drunk.

Mabibilang ko pa lang sa daliri ko yung ininom n'ya pero lasing na s'ya agad. Ibinida n'ya pa sakin kanina na hindi s'ya madaling malasing, pero ngayon, hindi na nga s'ya makatayo ng matuwid at pagewang-gewang na yung kanyang lakad.

Biglang may nagpatunog ng wine glass malapit sa pwesto ng DJ, dahil dun ay pinahinaan nito ang music.

It was Lexi Savchel. I can't forget her, ever since nakita ko sila ni Keircy sa mall.

She cleared her throat, "Good evening ladies and gentlemen." panimula nito.

"Some of you might be not sober enough to understand me right now but I would like to thank all of you for attending here tonight. My support wasn't wasted, good job everybody!"

Tama nga si Darcy, magkaalyado sila. But Lexi didn't run for any position though.

"Also congratulations to our newly elected SSLG president, Keircy Den Monzawella." Sabi n'ya sabay lingon kay Keircy na proud na nakangiti ngayon sa kanya. "You deserve this more than anyone. Cheers for our newly elected officials specially our newly elected president."
