Elora snuggled her face into the nook of her father's shoulder as he held back tears. It was her mother's death date.

Minato, Kushina, and Naruto attended as well, their newborn asleep in Kushina's arms while Minato held Naruto's hand.

Obito Uchiha and Rin Nohara stood off to the side; they didn't know the girl so well, but they knew she'd saved their lives and that they needed to be there for their teammate.

Elora turned to see her grandfather resting a hand on his kneeling son's shoulder. "Kakashi, it's time to go." The silver-haired teen nodded and stood up, making eye contact with the toddler before looking away. Elora frowned. She was still put off by how cold her uncle could be to her. She didn't get it but decided not to push it. It was fine.

The adults walked away from the gravesite. Naruto rambled about random things while Elora stayed in her father's arms.

"Why don't you all come to our house for lunch?" The fourth Hokage invited the group.

"I can make ramen, Y'know." Kushina offered, while Naruto looked at his mother like she was a goddess.

Elora snuggled back into her father's neck, a question running through her head: 'Who was the masked man?' she wondered—not for the first time to herself. In canon, it had been Obito, but all of team seven had survived Kannabi Bridge, and no one else—as far as she knew—had died around that time or place, and the question weighed heavily on her mind.

"We'll go," Tide said, taking up the offer. Elora, despite not showing it in her musings, was excited to spend time with fishcakes.

"Kakashi and I will go too." Kakashi stared at his father, almost pleading with him to take back the offer. "Right Kashi?" He shrugged; it was as good as a yes.

Obito and Rin agreed to go as well.

The adults all talked about random things, and Elora focused on the jinchuriki of the nine-tails. At least that was what Elora thought; she'd asked about it, and Tide had said that when she started talking, he'd tell her—he'd looked so sad in that moment that Elora had almost regretted asking—it was not on her to-do list to start talking in front of adults, yet she'll keep trolling them. Thank you very much.

There were a lot of variables here: Canon appeared to be either nonexistent or a secret, Elora didn't know whether Kushina or Naruto was the Jinchuriki of the Nine Tails, the masked man appeared to be a topic of itself, the population of Konoha was much larger than it should have been—at least from what Elora could tell—and so many more unknowns. The Uchiha were in the village; Danzo appeared to be on a tight leash, and she'd heard nothing of the Konoha twelve other than Naruto and Sasuke.

Elora let herself start to drift off, thinking she could muse later. She felt her mind start to lift into the clouds and leave her body behind.

Tide looked down at the small, sleeping child in his arms and smiled softly. He often wondered if the two had not waited long enough, but then Elora wouldn't be here at all, so he didn't mind, even if he was only nineteen.

Naruto looked over at the marked man and squinted. Tide swallowed the lump in his throat. "Tide, my name's Tide." He answered before the boy could ask.

"I didn't remember your name, but I knew it was weird! Believe it!" Kushina and Minato had stopped being mortified a while ago, but that didn't stop Minato from making an odd, distressed noise. Kushina just flicked the boy's forehead, and speaking from experience, Tide knew it hurt.

"I'-'' Minato started but was quickly interrupted by his wife. "Do you even care anymore?" Kushina asked bluntly, ignoring another distressed noise from her husband. The other four adults looked mildly amused, while Naruto looked up at the adults, not quite sure why everyone was reacting in odd ways.
