You say, "It's okay, everyone needs a bad day,"
But my days stretch into weeks,
And my weeks bleed into months,
Until bad feels like the only thing I know. You say, "You're not alone,"
But in my room,
When silence wraps around me,
I realize I am all alone. You say, "Text me when you need me,"
But when I reach for you,
When my words fall into the void,
The emptiness is louder than your silence. You say, "Hey, I'm here now,"
But what do I do with the hours
I spent drowning while you were absent,
The moments when "now" was far too late? You say so much,
Yet the gaps between your words
Are where I truly fall.
