"Oh um—that doesn't go there. You can put it in the kitchen for now" Trinity said, pointing to a box the movers had just brought in. It was official move-in day, and everyone had come to help. Tink's friends—Soraya, Diamond, and India were here, along with Dayvon's friends—Marcus, Durk, Chris, and Trell.
"Bro this shit heavy as fuck. I'm hot and I gotta take a shit" Marcus complained, struggling with a heavy white marble dresser as he stepped inside.
"Boy shut up and be a man. Damn" Soraya shook her head as she playfully pushed Marcus's head. He glared at her, but it only made her laugh harder.
"I apologize y'all oh my gosh" Tink held up her hands in surrender, knowing she might've gone a little overboard with shopping. Some of the furniture was incredibly heavy, while other pieces were brand new, still smelling like fresh packaging. Then there were the familiar items from Dayvon's house, not that much though.
She was going for a clean look—shades of gray, white, and a touch of black. Simple but classy. She didn't want anything overly girly since she and Von were officially living together. The living room showcased her vision perfectly, a massive dove-gray sectional took up the center of the room. It matched perfectly with the white walls and soft gray wood floors.
She wasn't much help either—just standing around, directing people where to put things, telling them which box went where. It was hot as hell, and she was already feeling the exhaustion setting in.
Thankfully, Kai wasn't around. He had gone back to his mom's house earlier in the morning. With everything going on, they didn't want him in the way or getting stressed out. It was one less thing for them to worry about.
"Youn need to apologize ma. They'll be ight" Dayvon said, pulling off his shirt. His toned chest glistened with sweat as he leaned in to kiss her. Trinity kissed him back before pushing against his chest with a laugh.
"Boy, you sweaty" She teased even though she couldn't deny how good he looked with his dreads pulled back into a ponytail.
"We're halfway done" India suddenly voiced, walking in with a few bags that had small decor inside. "And I'm loving all the stuff you bought. It's so pretty. Where'd you get all the little things for the living room?"
"Mostly Home Depot, Amazon, and Target. That's it for real" Trinity replied, adjusting her strapless gray dress. The fabric hugged her perfectly, highlighting her belly in the most flattering way. Her legs were smooth, her anklets on display, and her freshly done white toes peeked out from her Kurt Geiger sandals. It was a simple yet pretty look—just enough to make her feel put together without overdoing it.
"You did your big one with matching everything fren. I wanna be like you when I grow up the fuck" Diamond took a sip from her blue Stanley Cup while fanning herself. She was sweating but didn't care, having been putting in as much work as the men. "Did Dayvon pick out anything?"
