CHAPTER 68

The little mynah was shouting again and again "The empress is pregnant". Ye Lisa on the other hand was treating it as though as it learnt something while he was away, and did not bother too much about it, Ji Jungkook however invited the imperial doctor to take a look at Ye Lisa.

Initially Ye Lisa wanted to tell him that few days ago the doctor has already done their routine visit and everything was normal, but seeing how excited Ji Jungkook was, she did not say anything and obediently waited for the doctor's arrival.

After the doctor finished checking Ye Lisa's pulse, with a happy face he kneeled on the floor and announced "Congratulations Your Majesty, The empress, niang niang really is pregnant!"

All the eunuchs and maid servants that heard him all started to kneel on the floor, "Congratulations to your majesty, to the empress!"

Ye Lisa was stunned, and looked at Ji Jungkook. On his face, the expression was no longer the worried and anxious looked he had just a little earlier, but instead a smile that looks like the sun that appeared after the rain, shining so bright.

Ye Lisa pulled his sleeves "Your Majesty?" Snap out of it, a whole room of people is still kneeling.

Ji Jungkook came back to his sense, laughed and saw "Award!"

All the people there were very happy. Ji Jungkook folded his arms and walk in rounds in the room, happy till he can't stop and don't know what else he could do, making Ye Lisa dizzy. The imperial doctor was at the side speaking with Su Yue with regards of what they need to be aware of, and in the end faced Ji Jungkook and said "The empress's body is strong, as long as properly cared for, giving birth would be smooth, with mother and child safe"

That would be of course. Ji Jungkook stopped walking, looked at the Ye Lisa who was in a daze, then told the doctor to first leave. But before the doctor can leave the room, he called him back and said "With regards to the empress being pregnant, do not let anyone know"

"Understood"

Ji Jungkook then glanced at the rest of the people, "You guys as well, speak nothing of this matter to anyone"

Ye Lisa was currently being talked about in the rumours, if news of her being pregnant was spread, in the mouth of others, who knew what it would become. This big news, shall have to wait till they settle the problem infront of them first, and then after that to receive sincere congratulations would be better.

After the doctor left, Ji Jungkook dismissed everyone, and was left alone with Ye Lisa. He sat on the bed and carefully places his hands on her stomach, with a layer of clothings in between, feeling the warmth that was being released. The feeling was very miraculous, it was as though as he was forming a bond with his unborn child, although it was still a fetus, almost a month old.

"Lisa, you are really commendable" Ji Jungkook laughed. Leaning shoulder against shoulder, reaching out to pull her head towards himself.

Ye Lisa also places her hand on her stomach, on top on Ji Jungkook's hands, and asks "Your majesty, do you like children?"

"Like, of course i like" Ji Jungkook said, while turning his hands over to hold Ye Lisa's hand.

"But i felt like you don't like" Ye Lisa said, "Previously when Wang Zhao Yi miscarried, it seemed like you weren't sad about it"

"How can you still not understand, Wang Zhao Yi, is Wang Zhao Yi, you are you. How can i not like any children from you?"

"Then how come you have no children all this time?" As an emperor, with so many women, but without a child, it does not fit.
