Third person's POV
At the Khanna's hotel after Bidayi...
Tami's cousins and friends were looking for her for the entire wedding but her dad Gautam Jindal and Maurvi Jindal had to say that she was not feeling well and was taking a rest but now after the Bidayi everyone started looking for Tami again as it was weird that she didn't attend the wedding.
When Siddh asked his uncle Gautam about it, he said she was sent to the hospital. Siddh and Sri found it weird but they didn't have time to argue due to so many guests. But Siddh called the hospital and asked but she was not admitted there.
" Uncle, are you hiding something?? Where is Tami?? She is not at the hospital. I called at the hospital to enquire about her condition. But they said that she was not there. "
" We have many guests here, let's go home, we will discuss it later on. " Gautam said firmly.
So once they all went home, Siddh raised the question again.
In the quiet solitude of their home, Maurvi and Gautam sat their family down, the weight of their secret heavy upon their shoulders. Siddh's anger simmered just beneath the surface, his frustration palpable as he struggled to comprehend the truth that had been kept hidden from him.
" Can you please tell us now, what is this all about?" Siddh's voice trembled with a mixture of confusion and anger, his eyes searching theirs for answers.
Maurvi took a deep breath, her gaze faltering for a moment before she found the strength to speak. "Siddh, my dear, there's something we need to tell you. Something that has been kept from everyone, including you, until now."
Gautam nodded solemnly, his expression mirroring Maurvi's resolve as he prepared to unveil the truth they had concealed for so long. "Tami... she didn't attend the wedding because... because she was the bride."
The revelation hung in the air, a heavy silence descending upon the room as Siddh struggled to process the enormity of what his uncle and aunt had just disclosed.
"What do you mean she was the bride?" Siddh's voice rose with disbelief, his fists clenched in frustration as he struggled to contain the torrent of emotions threatening to consume him.
Maurvi reached out to him, her touch a gentle anchor amidst the storm of emotions swirling within him. "Gaurvi left with Shlok just before the wedding."
" What?? Shlok? Why? "
" Because she loves him and is carrying his baby. "
" Shlok or Shaurya? " He looked confused. And they explained everything.
" How dare he take her like that and how dare she go away with him without thinking about any of us or Mihir? " They argued for a long time over that. He was too angry to calm down easily.
" But how did Tami come into the picture?" He asked.
" We couldn't bear the thought of the humiliation, the scandal... so we made a choice, a choice to protect our family's honor."
Siddh's eyes widened with disbelief, his mind reeling at the magnitude of the secret his parents had kept from him. "You... you got Tami married to Mihir to save the family's reputation? But... but Mihir loves Gaurvi! How could you do this to Tami? To Mihir?" He looked absolutely shocked.
Tears welled in Maurvi's eyes, her heart heavy with the pain of the truth laid bare before her son. "We did what we thought was best, Siddh. It's not just that we couldn't bear the thought of our family being torn apart, of becoming the subject of gossip and ridicule, we needed to think of Mehul as well... His condition... "
" His condition... I am sorry but you can't spoil Tami's life for his health condition. " Siddh argued.
" We were not ready to do it, even though Megha suggested and pleaded for it... But Tami agreed to it. " Sid said to his son.
Gautam's voice cracked with emotion as he spoke, his love for his children evident in every word. "We know it's not easy to understand, Siddh. But please, try to see it from our perspective. We did what we thought was necessary to protect our family, to save Mehul's life, and spare us all from the pain of scandal and disgrace."
" But why did you even ask her for her sacrifice? You know how sweet she is, she would have never said no to it if she could save us all from the situation. You should not have left the decision to her. You could have let me know. I would have... "
" Enough Siddh!!! Do you think you are the only one who cares for Tami?? We all love her, Gautam and Maurvi had refused to get her married to Mihir, even though Megha threatened to cut all ties with our family if anything happened to Mehul. But then the situation was so bad that we asked both of them and they agreed." Gautam's dad said to his grandson.
" Mihir and Tami both agreed?? Mihir agreed?? Okay maybe he did, but it was because of their selfish reason as uncle was not well and they wanted the wedding to be so grand. He must have agreed to save the reputation but they will not be happy in this marriage. " He argued.
" Tami wanted to marry him, we tried to convince her but she wanted to marry him, as she said she had a crush on him. " Gautam said.
" But, she can't spoil her life for just a crush. " Siddh's anger flickered, tempered by the raw vulnerability he saw in Gautam's eyes.
Slowly, hesitantly, he reached out to Maurvi and Gautam, his heart heavy with the weight of their shared burden. "I... I don't know what to say. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lash out. I just... But if I had known... "
Shruti enveloped Siddh in a tight embrace, her love for her son a balm to soothe the wounds of their shared pain. "It's okay, Siddh. We know this is a lot to take in. But we need to share this burden together as a family."
Gautam's hand found Siddh's shoulder, a silent gesture of solidarity amidst the tumult of emotions swirling within them. "We'll get through this, Siddh. Together, as a family. Megha assured us that she will try her best to make the marriage work, but if their marriage does not work, we are here for her, aren't we?? " He asked.
" Do you even doubt that... I will get her here as soon as she feels it was not a good decision. I had someone in mind who would have been perfect for her. I will not let her suffer forever if she is not happy. But I am annoyed with Gaurvi. We have been so close and she didn't even talk to me? " He was very upset.
But the family made him understand the situation and he calmed down.
