Mihir's POV
My father spoke up, "Son, we’ve always believed that Tami was perfect for you; we saw your possessiveness for Tami, despite you denying hotly that you even liked her. Hence, we planned everything to make you jealous and realize your feelings for her. But we also wanted you to understand that love requires effort, patience, and sometimes a bit of humility."
" That day, you could not take your eyes off her and were getting jealous as Parshav was simply complimenting her. When sri asked you to take Tami for a dance, you refused to do it but when Megha placed her hand on Parshav's hand, we all saw your expression... And trust us, we as wives of OPH members, know that look very well. You were getting jealous..." Maurvi Aunty said.
"...So we asked him to help us with our plan by flirting with her." Maurvi Aunty said.
My eyes widened in surprise. "A plan? He did all that because you asked him to?? " I was shocked.
" Why else do you think he could dare to flirt with her in front of Gautam and Siddh? Don't you know what they both are like??" Maurvi Aunty asked.
" Yes, he even flirted with Tami in the hospital room in front of me and I pretended to be sleeping at that time or ignore it. Do you think I, who is so possessive about my wife even after 28 years of our wedding, and who made Ron's life hell for flirting with my daughter, can allow a young man to flirt with my daughter-in-law?
" But what was the need to make him flirt with her? "
" To make you jealous, make you realize your true feelings for her, and it worked. " Maurvi Aunty said.
" Don't you think it was too much?? "
" No, You were absolutely stubborn, not ready to start a normal life with her; I could see that you were attracted to her but denied that. We could see the awkwardness between you though you were pretending to look normal." Mom said.

Gautam uncle chuckled. "Not just a test, Mihir. It was a way to bring you two closer, to remind you both of what you have. And to make sure you never take it for granted again."
Overwhelmed by the emotions and the surprise, I ran a hand through my hair. "So, this whole time... you were all just testing me? Even you Tami??"
Tami, her eyes shining with affection, added, "No, I didn't know about all this, I was torn between what was right and what I wanted. I wasn’t sure if I was doing the right thing by marrying Parshav. I loved you but I loved my first superhero (dad) more. I could not see my dad suffering because of guilt that he allowed me to marry you. I was hurting as well while breaking your heart and trying to convince you, and marry him like this, but seeing you fighting for us made me realize how much you loved me and how I still love you. I think This whole plan—it was to make us both realize what we mean to each other."
" We didn't tell her anything or she would have told you about our plan when she saw you suffering with guilt and pain of losing her and the baby." Her mom said.
" Then why didn't you ever stop him from flirting with you? "
" Because I knew him since I knew you. I knew he was not serious about it. I liked to think that you were getting jealous to see him doing it." She said.
I turned to Parshav, shaking my head in disbelief. "And you, flirting with Tami right in front of me? That was all part of the act?"
Parshav shrugged, smiling. "What can I say? I have a knack for drama. Plus, it was fun seeing you get all worked up. But in all seriousness, I’m glad you two are back together. You belong with each other."
Just then, Ron whistled, and a curtain was pulled, and I was shocked to see a board and our names written there. It said Gautami weds Mihir and was decorated with beautiful flowers.
Oh, my god!! So I was trying to marry my own bride by hook or crook while it was a piece of cake.
"Does that mean Parshav was never going to get married to her? They knew very well that it was me dressed as a groom. They didn't want her to get married to him??" I asked the obvious question.
Parshav chuckled and stepped forward. "Sorry, buddy, but I was never actually going to marry Tami, she is like a sister to me. This was all a setup. Your parents, Tami's parents, Siddh, Ron, and I—we wanted to see how much you were willing to fight for her."
" Ron?? Ron knew all this?? " I asked looking for an answer.
" Yes! "Mom said, and I looked for Ron; he was making a cute face.
I will beat him to a pulp.
" Ron, I will kill you. "
" Don't you dare, Bhai..." Mahi said glaring at me. Ron smirked at me.
" But... " I was saying but Mahi stopped me.
" Yes, I know, I will teach him a lesson, how can he hide things from me?? "
" But I was helping your brother; if you knew, you would have told him. Even Tami, Gaurvi, and Shlok didn't know about it. " Ron explained. Megha Aunty nodded and told Mahi to forgive Ron. She nodded.
" What the hell!! What a plan!! "
" We all saw how you used to ogle at her without you even knowing it. So we tried to get you together and we all know that jealousy plays an important role in a relationship. " Mom said. "
" But... Why did you stretch it to divorce? You could have stopped it once I realized my feelings for her. I can't believe that you even planned the wedding with Parshav?" I was shocked as hell.
" All this was not a part of the original plan, but you spoiled everything by sending divorce papers to her, your dad got a heart attack and then, we wanted you to realize that Tami was a good girl and you were falling for her... we were sure that things were going well, but after the news of her pregnancy, you crossed the limit by saying all that... Your dad almost had another heart attack. We wanted to teach you a lesson, to make you understand the true value of marriage and the depth of your love for Tami." Mom said.
" I am really, sorry."
" That day, both Gautam and I got very hurt, and Gautam was furious. Though Gautam was angry beyond his limit, I had seen how much she loved you or how desperate you were to get her to work with you. So we called your parents to our home to find a solution to this problem as we could not see our kids suffering like that." Maurvi Aunty was saying, and it seemed she recalled that day. She told me everything that happened.
