Mihir's POV.

Aunty told me everything that happened since that day.

" We are very sorry, beta, that you had to go through all that. All we wanted was to bring you together. We all were worried about just Tami and her feelings; we should have been more considerate of you as well. " My dad said and mom nodded with tears in her eyes. I hugged them.

Tami held my hand tightly as well. I knew she was affected by hearing that I had to go for professional help. Her hold on my hand was assuring that she was with me, no matter what.

" Finally, the day came. We knew what you and your supporters were doing, but only  Ron knew out of your supporters, what we were doing. He really is a good man, he was  supporting you like a real brother. " Aunty said.

" Even Manik was so tensed when he came back after the honeymoon and didn't want to have a reception when you were going through so much, but Ron, Megha, and I made him understand that it was you who was getting married to her, not parshav. So that he could get rest assured and enjoy his reception. " Dad said.

" Well, here we told you everything.  Everything was planned and under control. You were planning to gatecrash your own wedding and even managed to do that. " Maurvi Aunty said with a broad smile.

" We waited for you to accept that you were Mihir after pheras... But you didn't. " Mom said.

" I was just about to do it when Uncle pulled my ear. " I said. Everyone burst out laughing.

" You must have been really tense as you didn't even realize when Pandit Ji said your name and gotra during Kanyadaan. " My dad said.

" I was torn between feeling guilty that I was getting married like that but, at the same time, was scared of losing her if I revealed it was me. " I said.

" Anyway, everything is well, if it ends well. " Maurvi Aunty said.

I finally laughed, a sound full of relief and joy. I looked at Tami, who was beaming, and then back at everyone else. "I can’t believe you all went through so much trouble just for us."

Maurvi Aunty smiled warmly. "It was worth it. Seeing you two happy and committed to each other is all we wanted."

Gautam's uncle, with a twinkle in his eye, added, "Now that you’ve passed the test, remember—no more mistakes. And keep that smile on my daughter’s face, or else..."

Mihir grinned, taking Tami’s hand in his. "I promise, uncle. I won’t let her down."

" Stop calling me uncle!! "

" Ji, sir! I mean, Dad."

The room erupted into applause and laughter, the tension of the past few days melting away. As everyone gathered around to congratulate us, we shared a look, one filled with love and a new understanding.

The rest of the evening was filled with joy and celebration. We were surrounded by our loved ones, who were all in on the secret plan, making our reunion even sweeter. There were jokes and teasing about the elaborate setup, but beneath it all was a deep sense of love and support from our families.

As the night drew to a close, Tami and I stood together, holding hands. I leaned in and whispered, "I can't believe they went through all that just to teach me a lesson."

Tami smiled, leaning her head on my shoulder. "Well, I hope it worked. Because I don’t ever want to be without you again."

Kissing her forehead, feeling more grateful than ever, I said, "Me neither. Here’s to our second chance, and I will be making the most of it."

With that, we joined our families, ready to start this new chapter of our lives, knowing we had the love and support of everyone around us. And as we looked around at the smiling faces, we knew that we were blessed, not just with each other, but with the love of our families, who had gone to great lengths to ensure our happiness.

Third person's POV

Finally, Megha asked Maurvi to start the Vidaai (Farewell to the Bride).

The Vidaai ceremony was an emotional farewell as Tami officially left her parental home to start a new life with Mihir. Her parents blessed the couple, their eyes glistening with tears of joy and pride. Maurvi placed a coconut and some rice in her lap, wishing her prosperity and fertility.

So it was an emotional moment, but Gautam glared at Mihir and threatened him that he would not hesitate to use his gun on Mihir if he ever got to know that his daughter was not happy. Mihir just nodded and assured him. He smiled and hugged him.

As the couple drove away, Tami looked back, waving at her family, knowing she was stepping into a life filled with love and happiness with Mihir this time. It was a poignant moment, blending the joy of a new beginning with the bittersweet farewell from her childhood home.

Mihir-Tami and Manik-Roshni arrived at their home, and the air was filled with joyous anticipation. The house, decorated with beautiful fragrant flowers, stood as a symbol of their new beginning.

Tami and Roshni were dressed in resplendent lehengas and stepped into the house with their right foot first, kicking over a pot of rice placed at the entrance—a traditional ritual symbolizing prosperity and abundance. The floor, adorned with intricate rangoli patterns, was a vibrant welcome for the new brides. Mihir's eyes never left Tami, his gaze filled with admiration and love.

But the atmosphere got electric with joy when Mihir carried Tami over the threshold of their beautifully decorated home, marking the auspicious Grihapravesh ceremony. Manik also carried his bride and took her inside.

Mihir's eyes sparkled with excitement, and Tami’s heart raced in anticipation of the life they were about to build together. The house, adorned with marigold and rose garlands and lit with oil lamps, radiated warmth and love, symbolizing the couple's new beginning.

As Mihir gently set Tami down, Mahi and Ron were ready to tease and entertain the couple with traditional post-wedding games.

" So, as we all know we are going to play some funny games. These games were originally designed to lighten the mood and allow the newlyweds to bond further. Though you know each other well, we will still make you play them. " Ron said with excitement.

" Well, the first game is the classic—finding the ring. "

A silver bowl filled with milk and rose petals was brought out, with a ring hidden at the bottom. Mihir and Tami sat across from each other, their hands poised over the bowl. Mahi explained the rules with a mischievous grin, "Whoever finds the ring first will rule the household!"
