Mihir's POV

As I walked further into the garden, I found Tami by the pond, lost in her thoughts. But as I got closer, I realized she wasn’t just lost in thought—she was asleep.

Sleeping here just like this? I thought, amused and a bit concerned. She must have been very tired.

Her hair had fallen across her face, hiding her beautiful features. I couldn’t resist the urge to gently slide the strands aside and tuck them behind her ear. Her eyelashes, long and thick like delicate lace, rested softly against her cheeks. She looked so peaceful, so perfect. Anyone would give anything to have her in their life, and here I was, having rejected this loving, caring, beautiful girl.

Regret washed over me as I thought about how I had been behaving with her. She loved me, yet I had been so consumed by the past with Gaurvi, that I couldn’t see what was right in front of me.

If Gaurvi hadn’t eloped with Shlok on our wedding day, I wouldn’t have married Tami. But fate had other plans, and now, I had to move forward with my marriage to Tami.

I sat beside her, held her long, delicate hand in mine, and had this urge to kiss it, but I didn't as I was scared that she might wake up and get startled. But then I recalled that Tami had this endearing habit of talking in her sleep when she was deeply exhausted. I recalled how once she was out, nothing could wake her—not even drums beating next to her. I smiled at that, she was looking so cute, sleeping just like a child.

As good as she was looking, sleeping at the moment, I couldn’t let her sleep here in the garden. I had to take her to our room.

As I bent down to pick Tami up, I felt a rush of emotions. The moment my arms slid under her, one under her knees and the other cradling her back, I was overwhelmed by a sense of protectiveness. Her body was soft and warm against mine, and as I lifted her, her head rested gently on my shoulder. Carrying her bridal style felt surprisingly natural, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of affection.

I recalled me carrying her like this two more times, and both times, she spoke something to me.  But both times I had not felt like I was doing now.

As I walked through the garden, I  could feel her heart beating steadily against my chest, a rhythmic reminder of her presence. Each beat seemed to sync with my own, creating a symphony that filled the night air.

Her fragrance was magical, a delicate blend of floral and something uniquely Tami. It wove a romantic atmosphere around us, making everything else fade into the background. I was drowning in her scent, in the warmth of her body, in the very essence of her.

Her hair, soft and silky, brushed against my neck with each step I took. It felt like the gentlest of caresses, and I found myself wanting to run my fingers through it, to feel its texture and revel in its softness. The scent of her hair was intoxicating, a sweet aroma that filled my senses and made my heart race.

As I carried her inside, I realized how much I liked holding her this way. It felt intimate, comforting, and strangely right. Her small, delicate form fit perfectly in my arms, and I was struck by how light she felt as if she were made of dreams and whispers. There was a profound sense of rightness in carrying her, as if she belonged there, in my arms, safe and cherished.

As I was going towards my room through the path where everyone was to carry her inside, everyone saw her and rushed to us when they saw me carrying her like that.

" Bhai!! What happened to her?? " Mahi came almost running, along with Roohi and Ron. Vihan, Raj, and Myra followed them.

" Nothing! She is fine! I need to take her inside. " I said as I didn't want to make a scene and disturb us.

" But then why are you carrying her like this? Let Roohi examine her. " Ron asked.

" Oh, please, she is fine, just sleeping. And just to remind you, I am also a qualified doctor, just like Roohi and Vihan. I am telling you, she is fine, I found her sleeping by her favorite spot in the garden. " I said.

" Her favorite spot in the garden, here in our farmhouse, Bhai?? How? She hasn't been here before today... Then how can she have a favorite spot here? " Mahi asked.

" She came here for the first time, but don't you remember our dad telling us about how her dad came to know about her feelings for him at that spot? So when I brought her here, she asked me to show her the place. She fell in love with it instantly. So she was sitting there and slipped into slumber. Now, if your queries are duly answered, can I please go and lay her inside? I can't keep standing here, explaining everything, while I am carrying her. "

" Right, you must be tired, Let me help you... " Vihan said and came to take her in his arms, but I glared at him.

"What? I was just trying to help you." He said.

" Don't you dare touch her. "  I said.

" Right, Vihan, just stay away from all the girls. I will carry her inside, since you are carrying her for a long time, you must be tired. " Ron said.

" No, thanks, I am not at all tired. Mahi, mind you husband..." I said.

"It's okay bhai, she is just like Roohi to him."

" Whatever... I am carrying her inside, I don't need any help in that, now please leave me alone. " I said.

" Guys please leave him alone, try to understand, yaar, leave him alone with his wife. She is sleeping, let him have his way with her. Don't disturb the poor newlyweds. " Myra said and everyone burst out laughing.

She was famous for saying what she thought she also came on the earth without a filter in her mouth, just like her whole family. Vihan and Ron whistled and I just shook my head and brought her to our room.
