He nodded at her, looking away trying to suppress the hurt that threatened to consume him. "I'm tired of your apologies, Liv."
His jaw tense under her touch, but again he reluctantly met her gaze like a fool that he was. He knows he should tell her to fuck off, but he can't. "Time for what, Liv? Another empty promise? Another chance for you to hurt me again?" His voice is low and dripping with resentment for her.
The girl sighed impatiently, hating this conversation. "Look, I'll dump him okay I swear I will and this won't be an empty promise, Vince."
Vince lets out a bitter laugh, pulling away from her yet again. He knows he should definitely tell her to fuck off , but his heart won't let him. Instead, he turns away from her and mutters, "You think I haven't heard that before? I thought you were different, Liv."
