Cold Winter (Cole x Kai)

another Night another Fight

It got dark and the house was silent until the remaining ninjas came back from the mission. Exhausted and tired they dragged themselves into the house notifying Cole and Kai that they have returned.

The both got up to see if the others needed help with anything and walked to the entrance. „Oh Cole come get this stuff off me. I'm literally gonna be crushed to death." Jay cried out while he held a bunch of stuff on his bag. Cole rushed over and took everything with ease and started flexing in front of Jay. „You wish you had these babies don't ya~" Cole bragged jokingly and kissed his muscles. Jay was too impressed to get mad but also too tired leading him to dramatically collapse on the ground. „I'm dead."

Kai walked over to Lloyd who didn't have much to carry. „I didn't carry anything. Jay insisted he'd carry everything on his own." Lloyd stated and grinned arrogantly towards Jay. „You literally voted for me to carry everything." Jay huffed while still on the ground.

„I wouldn't have approved on an unfair voting system but Jay you were the one who suggested to do it. You should have seen it coming." Zane explained while he held some bags too. Zane was too kind to let Jay do all the work by himself.

Cole was astounded by this heartless decision they had made. Jay really seemed to be at his limit and the others just ignored it. It made his heart ache for his best friend and he wanted to say something to make them realise that that was wrong of them. But he didn't and he kept silent because he didn't want for things to escalate again.

Kai on the other hand had other plans and it was visible by how he was looking at the two younger ones. Nya and Lloyd noticed the stare and shied away for a second. Nobody wants to be at their place right now.

Cole looked at him and put a hand on his shoulder indicating that he shouldn't but Kai shrugged it off. „You made Jay the weakest one of the group carry all THAT and you didn't even reconsider helping him?!" Kai started off with making sure that he understood it correctly and didn't just imagine such a malicious act by these two.

„I'm not weak!" Jay attended to shout but only a squeak came out of him. Lloyd shrank and looked at Kai with a panicked and guilty look knowing he had done something wrong and angered Kai. He regretted it almost immediately and just wanted to apologise.

Nya wasn't on the same page and she looked angrily at Kai. „What?! There's nothing wrong with having a bit fun with each other! And it was him who wanted this anyways." Nya argued and grinned at her comment. Kai got more irritated seeing Nya enjoying this bickering.

„Jay as always didn't think this through and you know that more than anyone here. Just because you're mad at him doesn't mean you can treat him that way!" Kai yelled at her while swinging his arms around.

It was a rare sight for the others to see the Smith siblings fight as they all knew how great of a bond they had. „I literally am mad at him for you! I was trying to defend you so what the hell is your problem?!" „Defend me?! You?!? You know damn right I don't need your protection Nya. I am just an excuse so that you can argue around and have your fun. If it really was for me you wouldn't have started this fight for my sake!" Kais yelling was a lot louder now but Nya can also go higher.

„I! Was! Defending! You!!!" Nya screamed. „DEFENDING ME WITH SCREAMING YOUR LUNGS OUT WHILE MY HEAD WAS ABOUT TO EXPLODE-?!?" Kai shouted and walked enraged towards her but had to stop because of someone blocking him. Jay stood in front of him with his arms stretched out and he fiercely looked at the fire boy.

Kai had his attention fixated on Nya and wasn't going to stop until he felt a touch. This touch turned into a grip around his arm and Kai was forcefully dragged away from the others and yet Kai let it happen. Such a strong grip but warm at the same time.

They were now in their room on Coles bed sitting without exchanging words. Kai still felt the grip on his arm and it might have even left a bruise from how fierce it was. But Cole would never hurt him on purpose. He'd forget sometimes how strong he can get which leads to underestimating himself.

Kai looked at his arm where Cole held him and he started rubbing it. Cole noticed this and looked at Kai in worry. „Did I hurt you?" Cole asked so innocent and pure. „No..." Kai answered and stopped rubbing his arm but didn't look away from it. „It didn't...hurt...at all." Cole looked at Kai in confusion. „Okay?" He answered still confused by Kais weird behaviour.

Kai now not looking at his arm anymore but into Coles eyes with a passionate expression was breathing heavily. His face flushed and his eyes were fixated on Cole as if they were about to devour the earth boy.

Coles eyes widened and he stared back at the other boy who looked so seductive at that moment. But Cole stopped his dirty thoughts and snapped back to reality. He didn't take the hint that Kai was throwing at him because it could have been a misunderstanding. He believed Kai was just tired from the fight and was unknowingly acting sexy.

„You should lay down and get some rest. You're still injured after all." Cole spoke clueless of Kais attempt to get his attention. He put Kai into bed and covered him with the sheets. Kai watched in disbelief as Cole was patting the sheets onto him.

In a flash Kai swung up again with a lot of force leading to him hitting Coles head with his. Poor Cole flew back after the impact but Kai grabbed him on both sides of his head and redirected him towards his face.

„Are you making a fool of me again?! What is up with you! Just a second ago you told me you loved me and now you start ignoring me again?!" Cole who was still lost because of the hit tried to say something but Kai didn't let him. „You're playing hard to get? Pha! Let me tell you something strong boy...." Kai started whispering as he got closer. „You're easy prey to me.."

And with that Kai connected his needy lips with Coles and pushed at them angrily.

Cole froze up and was in shock by Kais bold move. He looked at Kai whose face was still showing anger in it while kissing but in Coles eyes he looked like the prettiest angel in the world. Even though the kiss was aggressive for Cole it was the best kiss he felt in a long time. He missed Kais touch but above all he missed Kais commitment and acceptance more than anything.

Cole returned the kiss making Kais frowned face turn into a flushed one. After a short time Kai was the one to separate their lips and looked at Cole who never looked away from Kai. „See? I didn't even have to invite you to dinner."

Cole laughed and hugged Kai who returned the hug. „You're right. I'm easy. But only for you." Kai smiled at that comment while resting his head on Coles shoulder. At last he felt warm again.
