Cold Winter (Cole x Kai)

The next day was calm for a change. Nobody was yelling or punching and everyone seemed a lot more relaxed.

Garmadons problem was finally solved and there was no reason for the ninjas to stay any longer. Everyone gathered one last time around the dining table to eat breakfast.

Kai was being forcefully fed by Cole accompanied by Lloyd who was laughing and holding the fire boy still from behind. „Say Ahh~" Cole maliciously said holding his laughter back while leading a spoon full of strawberry yogurt towards Kais mouth. „No no no, I can't. I can't eat that. Not in the morning. I'll get sick. Just thinking about it..makes...me...sick" Kai plead as he started to retch.

Lloyd let go quickly scared he might get drenched with vomit but fortunately it didn't come to that. Now that Lloyd had let go of Kai he was free and ready to get revenge.

Jay watched in amusement as Cole was being choked by the strawberry spoon that was meant for Kai and Lloyd was kneeling and begging for forgiveness.

It was fun to play around like that again but Kai couldn't help but notice how Nya was silently eating by herself without looking away from her food. She was the first to put her plate in the sink and leave.

Seeing his sister acting like this didn't feel right and Kai felt sorry for her. She managed to get into a fight with Cole, Jay and Kai within a short period of time and now she was keeping her distance from them.

An hour later everyone started packing their stuff to leave for today. Nya was folding her clothes when someone knocked on her door. It was Kai who welcomed himself in and sat on the already made bed making himself at home.

„Jay left some things here and he didn't dare to get them so I came." Kai started the conversation while watching Nya pack as she didn't give him any attention. „Well, get them and leave." She answered and threw a glance at Kai. She clearly wasn't pleased that Kai wasn't doing what he came for. Instead of getting the stuff Kai now was laying on the bed and whistling in boredom.

That was one to much and Nya jumped up giving Kai a nasty stare. „Listen here-" „No you listen young lady. I didn't raise you to be such a brat towards your family. I know that you think that I'm one to talk. And yes, Jay and I can be a handful and we always get into fights. But Nya he is your partner. You can't make a relationship work on broken hearts and hatred. I got angry at you for leaving Jay hanging. I just don't want you to regret the decisions your making because I know you're not like this. I know you don't want this."

Nya remained silent as she looked to the side avoiding her face to be seen. „...Of course I don't want this but it all happened now and there's no going back. Jay is angry at me and he won't talk to me...I mean look! He sent you just so he doesn't have to see me." Nya stated sadly and placed her arms around her body to feel better.

Kai stood up, went over to her and held her hands in his. He was grinning like an idiot making Nya who had tears in her eyes look in confusion. „Yeah yeah you can't change what has already happened but you don't have to worry about a thing." He cheerfully announced. „You see I heard him talk to Cole about you last night." Kai said mischievously.

„You were eavesdropping?!" Nya shouted in shock but dropped the acting immediately and looked at Kai with a curious expression. „What did he say?" She couldn't care less that her brother eavesdropped on someone in fact they used to do that a lot for each other. „He actually said a lot of..sweet things." Kai winked at her making Nya shake her head while laughing.

„Aww he really said he loved my personality." „More like he loves your stubbornness" Nya threw another glare at Kai who threw his hands up as a defence.
