Yamada bit his lip as he studied the group of boys seated on the steps to the aquarium.   Maki and Shaku stood with Hawks and Nora looking ashamed.   Nemuri was snapping picture after picture, cooing at their pups despite her own gremlin snarling to knock it off.

"I'm so sorry!" Maki sniffled.   "I don't know what happened.   I swear we were keeping an eye on them."

Hawks laughed as he glanced at his pack.   "There was a kid who just got their quirk.   They got too excited looking at the fish toys and set it off.   Our boys just happened to be right there."

Aizawa felt his mate turn into him to hide his laughter as dark eyes studied the small group.   Poor Izuku looked terrified, little kitten ears pressed flat to his green curls as his new tail twitched as his fingers kneaded the shark plushie he held.   Beside him sat Katsuki with a fluffy little puppy tail and sharp pointed ears atop his blond spikes.   The boy snarling as Hitoshi sighed in defeat next to him.  The fluffy wolf ears and tail sagged, give the appearance of an animal that was just done with everything.    Kirishima sat at Izuku's other side, sniffling almost as much as Izuku.   He had floppy puppy ears as well as a tail, both of which slumped low.

"Well if they were going to be in a quirk accident...at least it was this one," Aizawa grunted.

"Shut it, hobo!" Katsuki growled.   "I'm not a mutt!"

At that, Yamada lost it and had to walk away.   Izuku sniffled again, curling a little more.   Aizawa's eyes softened as he watched the other boys surge to assure their little packmate.

Nora smacked Hawks across the back of the head when he let "litter mates" slip in his giggles before she walked down the steps and crouched in front of Izuku.

"Hey, puffling, look at me," Nora cooed.   She smiled when saddened green eyes met hers.   "Let's practice what we've been working on okay?   Deep breath in."

The adults watched as the woman gently guided the boy through a breathing exercise until he had calmed down.   Even the other boys joined in - whether in solidarity or because they needed it too.    Nora smiled, cupping his hands in hers.

"Very good, puffling," she cooed at him.   "Now, words or no words?"

Izuku blinked and gently tapped her arm.

"No words, thank you," Nora praised.   "Remember, one tap for no, two for yes.  Are you scared?"

Two taps.

"Is it because of the quirk?"

One tap.

"Is it because you think you're in trouble?"

Two taps.

"Are you scared of getting punished?"

Two quick taps before the boy curled tighter into himself.

"Don't punish Zuku!" Eijiro cried as he jumped to his feet.   "I'm who bumped into the little kid and it's my fault!  Punish me!"

Aizawa smiled and crouched down, motioning his suddenly serious mate to stay back.   "Kiddo, no one is in trouble.   It's a quirk accident, that's all.   Little kids have them all the time.   Your mom told us how you got that little scare above your eye."

The boy touched the barely noticeable scar.   "I...I didn't know how to use my quirk."

"Right," Aizawa praised.   "No one is in trouble because of an accident.  Besides, this is a cute accident.   You're like a little puppy."

The boy blinked and glanced at his friend beside him.   "But...why is he so scared?"

"Cause where we were before our dads found us...those people always blamed us when things like this happened," Hitoshi muttered.   "So we'd get punished because we wouldn't fight back."
