Izuku smiled as he snuggled against Hitoshi.   His brother was scrolling on his own phone beside him as Izuku happily chatted with their big sister.

"So you met a new friend?" Ekko's voice came through the air quietly.    She paused and Hitoshi snorted at the rapid fire clicking from his brother.    "Oh, and got to go to the beach.   I'm so jealous!   I can't wait to get to take a break next week.    Our work study is almost over and I'm dying to just take some time off."

Izuku wiggled in excitement as he typed out his message.

"Yes, you can introduce your new friend to your big sis and her pack," Ekko's voice laughed lightly.    "I'm not sure you'll get Kiko into the water though.   She doesn't like to get her ears wet."

"Neither does Zuku," Hitoshi chimed in.

"You didn't like the water, kiddo?" Kan's voice came through faintly.

Izuku typed out his message, sighing sadly.   It seemed like they had chosen not to let their older friends know.

"Oh, I forgot about that," Kan laughed loudly.   "Trust in us, green bean...they won't bother you again.   Not to mention their sensei is already planning how they're going to spend what's left of their summer."

After some more clicking, Kiko's voice came through.   "Oh your big sister did more than just handle it."

"Do not taint his image of me," Ekko scolded.   "And this is supposed to be a private call."

"Since when?   You accepted our courting," Kan said, his voice closer.

"You're one of us, little missy," Kiko giggled.   "One of us...one of us..."

Izuku giggled at their little banter.   It was nice to talk to the pack after all their time off on the work study.   He glanced at his brother as he rolled over to join in the conversation.

"Did dad let you know about our little...accident?" Hitoshi asked.

"Are you okay?" Ekko asked quickly.

"Hold on," Hitoshi smiled.   "Izu, you still got that picture from the aquarium?  You should send it so they know what to expect."

Izuku hunted for the picture that had been shared to the family group chat and sent it to Ekko.   Hitoshi covered his little kitten ears when the squeals started.

"Oh my god!  That is the cutest ever!" Kiko purred.   "Is the red head your new friend?"

"Izuku says it is, but to get away from the phone if you're gonna squeal," Ekko responded.   "You're hurting his ears."

"Sorry, lil bro," Kiko said softer.

The two boys settled in to continue their chat, enjoying the quiet peace of sharing an evening virtual visit.   A muffled knock was heard and Kiko huffed as she got up.

"Oh, it's probably one of the adults checking on us," Ekko answered when Izuku questioned the noise.   "They do it once a night once curfew hits to ensure all the work study students are-"

There was a snarl and a thud in the background.   Izuku and Hitoshi tensed as the phone was dropped and what sounded like a fight came across the phone.   Hitoshi was already up and off their nest to find their parents as Izuku listened, heart racing.

"Izuku!" Aizawa cried as he entered.    His eyes searching for the fight until his son held out the phone, tears rolling down his cheeks.  He saw the name on the top of the screen and the one sided stream of texts, with the last one just reading 'Who's at your door, sis?'
