Aizawa glanced down at his green eyed boy as the child looked over their shopping list.   The last few months had been wonderful and today seemed to be the cherry on top.   School had started well for the boys.  They, as well as their little quartet of friends, wound up in the same class and loved to get together for their own little 'cram' school.   Kirishima would join them periodically, even though he wasn't sure he wanted to leave the couple of friends he had at his school.

The dark haired man thought back to meeting the energetic, pink haired girl who was sort of friends with Kirishima.   She had been a bit much and overwhelmed Izuku quickly, but the small group of children made the visit work and the rest of the summer had faded away into the start of school and now their holiday break was inching closer.   In fact, the trio of boys had broken apart to shop for each other and their parents.

"Dad, we got Toshi a gift right?" Izuku asked from beside him, little pencil ready.

Aizawa still felt a swell of pride every time Izuku was open to talking in public or, like today, being out without one of his comfort items.   Then again, the little shark tooth keychain Kirishima had given him as a gift dangled from the band of his support item.   It had become a pseudo-comfort item when he wanted to try going out without one of the plushies.

"Yes, you picked out some books for him," Aizawa smiled as he watched the boy check off his brother's name.

"I just need to get you and papa something," Izuku grunted.   He looked up and seemed to pick a store.   "You gotta stay out here till I'm ready.   You can't peek."

Aizawa smiled as his son.   "You feel okay to be by yourself?"

Izuku's curls bobbed as he nodded.  "I got my panic button if things get bad.    And...I gotta try, right?   In case I am ever alone for real."

Aizawa smiled and nuzzled his boy.   "My brave boy.   Okay.  I'll be right here, okay?"

Izuku nodded and headed into the store filled with different types of dishware.   Aizawa chuckled.   He could only guess that his boy was going to choose him and his husband new coffee mugs.   Content with their successful shopping trip, Aizawa leaned against the wall outside the store and started scrolling on his phone.

Inside the store, Izuku stood at the towering wall of coffee mugs, studying his selections.   He had one already in his basket that looked warped and damaged with the words "I failed anger management" for his papa.   He knew his loud parent would get a laugh out of it.   Now he needed one for his dad.    As his eyes roamed the shelf, he spotted a very simple looking mug with an angry cat on it.   He wasn't sure what it said, but he liked the cat.

"Need help?"

Izuku looked at the blue haired girl who skipped up to him.   She was a bit older than him, but she smelled like fresh rain.   He smiled and pointed at the shelf with the mug.   Then typed into his support item.   "Yes, please.   The one with the cat."

The girl grinned and seemed to float as she activated her quirk and easily reached it.

She handed it over.  "Here you go."

"Thank you," the device chirped as Izuku read the mug.   He laughed as he realized it said, 'Let me check my give a shit meter.   Nope, nothing.'   He tapped a button that chirped out, "Perfect."

The girl giggled and started to skip off the way she'd come.   Izuku saw two other boys - one blond with a sunshine smile and the other a very shy, dark haired one - waiting for her.   He offered a small wave as he moved to put the cup in his basket.
