The end of their extended break saw the pair of families standing outside the middle school the boys were supposed to be attending.  It was a good two weeks after the other students back - two weeks of having a mini nest in their dad's classroom and snuggling together.

"You sure?" Aizawa asked, body tense as he looked between his boys and nephew and the rest of the school yard.

"Dad, he wants to try, and...none of us really wants to miss any more school," Hitoshi said as he held Izuku's hand. His brother was silent, clinging to Sharky. Katsuki stood beside him, one hand holding their bags and the other holding Izuku's elbow.

"We'll call if he can't handle it," Katsuki promised. "And Mama talked to our teacher. They have a quiet room he can use for breaks."

Aizawa whined softly but nodded. He crouched down in front of Izuku.

"You are safe here," Aizawa said firmly. "You've got your pack, and you know you can trust your teachers."

"And there is nothing wrong with calling to say you need to come home," Yamada assured. "One of us will leave work to come get you."

"Or hit that panic button, kiddo. We'll all get the alert," Emi agreed.

"Even Ekko and her pack are cleared to leave school at the drop of a hat to come get you guys," Nemuri added.

Izuku looked up at them. "She can?"

"Yep," Aizawa smiled. "Grandpa, put it in place so that you have your entire pack on standby."

Izuku stood a little taller, smiling. It seemed to help him to know that he could call on any of them. "Okay."

Aizawa snuggled him one more time, then stood and let his fellow packmates ground him as their boys started into the courtyard. They watched Iida, Yaoyorozu, Kyoko, and Lily Rose walk over. The alphas in the little group gave Izuku space, but it was clear that they were happy to see him back.

Iida offered notes from what they'd missed. Together, they walked towards the door - the little group of four circling the original trio to keep the other students back. Yamada leaned into Aizawa with a smile.

"He's got bodyguards," he cooed. "I'm so proud of those kids."

"Heroes in the making," Nemuri agreed.

It took several minutes before Aizawa allowed himself to be pulled away from the school gate. Yamada knew that there wouldn't be any work getting done today, so instead of going to work like Emi and Nemuri, he led his husband to a cat cafe not far from the school. He paid for the day and got them both something to drink. At least here, he knew his mate would relax slightly.

Thirty minutes.

Yamada ran behind his husband as they raced back to the school. Their boy had made it thirty minutes before hitting the panic button.

"No, we're on it," Yamada assured into the phone. "Just let the others know.... yeah, we'll probably take him to the cat cafe...yes, we'll call if we need you."

Aizawa raced ahead, jumping over the fence like it wasn't even there. Yamada sighed but followed his husband, shoving the phone back in his pocket. The blond stopped at the front desk even as Aizawa didn't.

"Sorry," he said as Aizawa continued racing down the hall.

"Izuku's parents," the secretary smiled. "A teacher called to let me know you'd be coming. Hitoshi let her know Izuku had hit his panic button."

Yamada relaxed. "Thanks. Do we know why he hit it?"

"I don't sorry," the secretary sighed. "Good luck."
